Other comments have also said it - there was a core NF3 that this is based on, with a variation on these pickups. These pickups may had a nod from the recent core NF53 pickups. And PRS does do an HSS guitar in the core range - the Fiore. Great demo guys! Thanks.

You guys did a nice job showcasing both how good these sound on their own and how different they are from SS SEs. It's funny, unless you focus on the superspeed Pete comparisons, the NF has the expected character across the 5 positions, just with a bit more mids, and in the jams, they worked well with the drive pedals. Lee's phrasing and touch have really advanced.

Love these! But it’s not correct to say that these are building on the shoulders of the silver sky - the NF3 was a core USA model back in 2010-12; well before the silver sky. This is literally an updated version of that, and made by the SE brand. The original NF3 (and DC3 which came out at the same time, but sported unique single coils) were well ahead of their time and arguably blow any silver sky out of the water even today. They are both different takes on what a modernised strat should sound and feel like, whereas the Silver Sky is simply an attempt at recreating a classic strat.
