I've got the Angelus AX20E. Spectacular guitar. Plays just super. I've had it for years. Get one if you don't need more binding and the other stuff that makes them cost more, for no more guitar....
@TenisAmador2 жыл бұрын
Hey, question about the AX20E: do you have small hands or big hands? Is the neck really big/fat? Does the fact that the back of the neck is glossy impairs the playability, when sweaty? Really considering purchasing the AX20E, however I'd have to buy it online, as no shop has it near me...
@danpritchett56172 жыл бұрын
@@TenisAmador I do not have small hands. I'd say medium hands. The neck is nice, it's on the thin side. Definitely not fat. Glossy neck is no problem at all... I'm usually not sweaty playing though. If you don't like that, get out some rough sandpaper and give it a go. Plays like a dream. BTW, I run electric guitar strings on it. 9s. I'd recommend those.

Great review! I had a chance to play an Angelus A40E not long after they started shipping here in the US. It's a sweet guitar. I prefer the sound of the Rosewood back and sides of the (discontinued) A30E, but the 40 still has a great sound to it.

I use the Angelus AE60 through a Fishman Aura box for my looping stuff and while it isn't in the class of instrument as my D41, it sounds great (actually sounds way better in front than from the players perspective though) and plays very nicely for strumming, and not bad for finger picking, although I do have to dig in sometimes to get the tone out. I get lots of compliments on it's looks when gigging and it is often mistaken for a much more expensive guitar. I paid right around $1000 USD for mine in 2021 to replace an aging Martin DCX1E and it has been bulletproof live. Love the fishman pickup system and arrangement.

Denim Paradiso!! I love my A40! I've had it for a month and it's a great guitar that punches above its price point. One thing I noticed though was the plastic bridge pins were sapping a lot of sustain and treble from the guitar. I swapped out the stock ones for graph tech...myyyy goddd...the guitar opened up immensely. It sounds phenomenal in comparison to the, already good, stock version. Much more sustain, clarity, and treble.
