Facts when your playing the games are you going to notice the graphics or will you be focused on the gameplay. No one cares about the grass being a bit lighter that doesn't justify me spending nearly £1,000 on this console. Realistically speaking, these minor visual upgrades will be completely lost on the majority of customers while they’re actually _playing_ a game. Pretty much all the graphical comparisons Sony demonstrated had the player character standing completely still with the camera locked to a specific direction. I can’t speak for everyone, but I personally keep my hands on the controller while playing games.

It’s crazy that the ps4 Pro supported 1440 60. We expected the PS5 to run 4K 60 with no problem yet we still playing upscaled 4K games. The box listed 8k gaming which was laughable. Basically the potential either was never reached or Sony lied.

What game was 1440p 60fps on PS4 Pro? I know PS4 Pro was 1440p 30fps. PS5 Pro is doing PSSR( like DLSS) to get to 8k 60fps. We all got 4k TV so it would Super Sample the image.

Let's even ignore the part were the PS4 Pro had only a few games that really hit high resolution. A lot of games just had checkerboard rendering.

Well once digital foundry continues to drop videos constantly on how powerful the ps5 pro is, especially with newer games like GTA6 and then take back all the negative things they said about the pro prior to its release than that’s when people will realize how big of a difference there is. But once again….people are not being forced to upgrade, if you afford than good, if you can’t than just stick with the ps5.

There is a big difference in terms of hardware. The issue is that software this generation isn't demanding enough to take advantage of it. So yes, the PS5 pro isn't worth it for many people. But it's not because the hardware is bad for its price. There's just not enough software to take advantage of it.

I disagree. I have a 4080 pc pre built but generally game on my ps more and def will get a pro. I just prefer gaming on console I work all day on computers and I find more issues with pc games when it's just pick up and play on console. Shader comp studder in some games for instance, or the memory leak affecting the recent god of war ragnarok pc port, issues ive never had on console. Pc gaming has its merits but gaming on the big screen in the family room id always pick a console

I bought the Ps4 pro and the Xbox one x and of course I'm getting the ps5 Pro. People don't understand that you're not going to see the difference unless you're in front of the tv, so watching compressed videos on youtube and pictures from Digital Foundry will not give you the whole picture the only time they will see it is if your at one of their friends house or in a store like best buy were you put a regular ps5 right next to the pro doing comparison I will say sony doesn't understand how to advertise this product because that is the reason so many people are not even looking at the other side of the fence the grass is greener but people are like are you sure.

I’ve greatly enjoyed my PS5 and believe it’s the perfect mix of performance, features and price. It’s what I want in a console(minus the size) That being said, Sony missed the mark with the PS5 pro for a few simple reasons that are all related to Accessories. If this had included the disc drive, vertical stand and pro controller at 700 dollars it would be far more accepted by the community. It’s a pro console and doesn’t come with the already existing pro controller…..that’s a miss IMO.

I have a standard disc drive PS5 that I stand vertically on my desk. So to get a comparable experience, I'd have to pay for an external disc drive AND a vertical stand pushing the price to over 800USD. At that point, an admittedly solid graphical leap isn't nearly worth a $300 price jump.

Sony: Lets drop a PS5 Pro console and price people out the ass at $700. While doing this we're not going to include a stand, (that'll cost you an additional $30) and its not going to have a disc version, (if you want an attachable disc accessory you have to pay up $80). Let's be objective here and not follow opinion of others. Why do you need a stand, console can be used normally and without noticeable visual change without a stand. They built console with high-er end parts and trust me, they set price as low as they could, because they earn real money with games and peripherals and not with consoles. If this was like a difference between a 4060ti and a 4080 and allowed native PS3 backwards compatibility with PSSR upscaling, then yes it could possibly be viable. I just don’t see the value. PS5 base still plays games at amazing quality. I think this for folks who play at a computer desk within less than 4 feet away from the monitor. I doubt you can see the difference at couch difference outside of smoother frame rates. Just like I skipped the PS4 pro, I will skip this also.

The way they did the ps5 pro bundle is disappointing not enough and especially in Australia the retailers had it only for level 5 members which is probably filled with scalpers because they make 3 times the amount from whatever they brought which means they can just spend even more to maintain that level 5 very disappointing from Sony to make such a little amount and the retailers

Is very expensive I'm very nice looking but it's hardly a difference including it doesn't come with a stand or a disk drive and people are just okay with it being $700 so you telling me you've been working your hard drive to give money to something you're not even really benefiting from justify all you want but the change is not there that's needed

i've spent like 1200$ on a 4k tv and when i play my PS5 it can't get to 60 fps on 4k mode so usually I reduce it to performance mode so that I can enjoy smooth gameplay for me this is the point where I decided to get a ps5 pro so that I can get a full experience.

Wat I don’t understand is why couldn’t Sony push them developers to make all games 4K 60 at the minimum for all ps5 games They didn’t have to make the ps5 pro They just be milking us .. Iam going to stick with my slim ps5 & play my Spider-Man 4K 120 fs Till the wheels falls off.

To be really honest?! I don't care a sh.. about the graphic, the speed, the whatever's inside... it IS GOOD, no doubt! It won't be a step down to the PS5, right?! But the Price ☝🏿🤪 what a joke! I just bought a PS5 instead, fu** it. I've been playing the PS4 pro for a while and was hoping to get the next pro, but no way. Iz getting more and more like Apple or Adobe.. ridicilous! Nintendo and Xbox fanboys and even PC nerds are hating on the PS5 Pro with false claims of only doing 60 FPS on 4K TVs. It's been confirmed that it does 120 FPS on 4K TVs. The only truth is that it's missing the Blu-ray, but who cares? It's 2024; there are barely any 4K TVs that support 120 FPS, and most of those people don't even own a PS5. There's already a boost graphics and performance feature for the PS5. You can find it in the settings; it allows you to enable performance or graphics in the game. So no, it's not a new feature going to be added for only PS5 Pro. KZbinrs are spreading false lies
