Cool haul of projects! Hopefully you don't end up buying too many parts, I know they can add up quickly! The poor boomerang has definitely seen better days! LOL! Have fun with the teardown and getting them sorted out!

I have one of those Acoms transmitters. They were always the cheapo alternative to the Futaba kit, but I raced with mine for years and it was fine (and still works!). The bags are a complete classic.

That's cool, Rob! I was actually wondering why you and Mark aren't doing restoration videos, so it's great to see you now have something in the pipeline! I actually liked that aluminium sheet repair on one of them, looked like a proper field repair! Back in the day there was no mail order online for parts, and I'm guessing not too many adults were into RC, so most were children who couldn't afford spares, ha ha! I'm looking forward to see what you do with them!

"Its mullered!!!"😂 Awesome haul Mc Rob,love it!!! I had that model flight charger back in the day,it used to connect to your dads car battery....the bit on the bottom i guess is a mains transformer? Those Acoms techniplus mk3s are awesome handsets,i still run many of them regularly! As for the cars,they have obviously had a fairly hard life,but are always salvagable,especially as all of them have recently been re releasesd,parts are readily available. I actually enjoy vintage restorations more than new builds,something so special about bringing a true vintage car back from the dead. One thing to be aware of though is how brittle the ABS plastic parts become over time- You often find many parts of these old cars disintegrate as you strip them down,then others shatter on the first few runs! Cant wait to see how these turn out......should keep you out of mischief for a few hours matey!😂👍 👍

The boomerang front bumper fix is actually pretty good in my opinion. Those are always going to break on those 3 points in the original design so it being reinforced at least makes the front bumper functional, likely also without breaking the chassis every time you crash into something too solid. Got one myself which besides the front shock, bumper, a new bodyshell, wing, wheels & tires should be up & running no problem.Actually had it running but the bushings were so worn down from dirt that it was quite wobbly & ran surprisingly hot on a 8.4v nimh pack, used the brushed esc & battery from my Traxxas stampede & the 2.4 ghz radio & receiver on it as well for testing it out.

Hi Rob, about the yellow Shot, it probably still is a HotShot, but with the quite rare at some point "HotShot H.P. suspension set" (basically the Supershot shocks and towers) as it seems it does not have the top access panel (same as the red one you have) and Supershot / Hotshot 2 have that access panel 😊 Anyway, a lot of work involved with these 3 😮🤝

That black Acoms charger goes to a car battery or you can put a Car battery charger to it to power it ..got that very charger when I bought the Kyosho Texaco sierra Cosworth in the 90’s ..
