Congratulations on your new Milgauss, SC. My friend in India has been on the wait list with his AD, but they said Rolex is not allocating anymore Milgausses to the country for the rest of the year, so hopefully he'll get his in 2021. Makes me wonder if Rolex is going to phase it out soon, since this Spring, he bought one of the last OP39s allocated to the country.

Thanks! I was also thinking that it might be discontinued soon. I believe the GV versions came out in 2007?, so that’s 13 years ago. I hope they don’t make the case larger.

Like your videos..thank god you laid off the history of the watch. Most of us know the history.. I’m tired of listening to these videos and getting 19 minutes of history from the big guys on the tube. I also really liked your compare and contrast of your collection. Haven’t seen that ever...more wrist shots with different casual and formal wear would also be cool with said watches would be good. Specific to the watch...the hazy crystal is caused by the crystal and blue dial combo IMO. The black dial version doesn’t have this problem IMO. Think I’ll get the black dial version.

That's my pet peeve also, I never expound on Rolex version history (partly because I don't do it very well), but mostly because I've seen it so many times already. I'm trying to get more external shots of the watch in context of my outfits, but it's a challenge to get the right angle. More to come.

A watch that I’ve tried on a few times and never quite picked up as I’m always torn about the quirkiness of the piece. It’s all subjective but, for me, in some lighting conditions it looks stunning then in others it seems almost garish. The green crystal the dazzling blue dial the orange numbers and, of course, the crazy orange lightning bolt second hand can seem to overwhelm the senses, but then I’m drawn in again. Back and forth. I guess if you’re ever torn about a watch dont go near as one day you may see it as less appealing. But for those who love it it’s a cool crazy Rolex piece. The joker in the Rolex pack, in some ways an out and out bizarre watch from an uber conservative Swiss brand. I see it as a fun summer watch. It’s a great review actually with some lovely photography. You almost sold it to me, but then the doubts creep back in... :)

Thanks, I still would have bought it if it had been on display. It’s not bad at all. It’s just nice to know it hasn’t been handled and tried on by a lot of people. (But these days, none of the Steel Sports models are making it into the display case anyway)

1. Tell them specifically which model you want and why you like it and why you like Rolex 2. Tell them it's for a special milestone or celebration (birthday, anniversary, etc) 3. Be persistent and polite, and visit them every few weeks. 4. Stay with one sales associate at each visit (someone who has worked there a long time and has seniority), try to talk to the manager too. 5. Wear a nice shirt and jacket and a nice watch 6. You might need to buy something else from them first 7. Let them know you live locally and plan to buy more from them in the future as a regular (loyal) customer 8. Tell them your occupation (if you think it will help) and a little about your family (they like an important job title or the possibility you might buy other items for your family)
