what is a good LBG skill charm to roll for (AKA: what is the most difficult armor skill to slot in terms of jewel slot investment?)? Currently i am struggling to decide between Attack Boost, Critical Eye, Pierce Up, Rapid Fire Up. From what I am seeing, Attack/Crit can go to lv3 while having lots of different jewel slots. Pierce/Rapid can go to lv2 while also having lots of different jewel slots. I don't expect god charms but I still want something to hope for whenever I go with the Cyclus Melding option. As for alternatives, Attack/Crit requires a Jewel4 for just 2x levels while Pierce/Rapid don't have a 4slot jewel variant (i think). My brain is fried.

This build is not worth the heavy grind. After hours of grinding just to have the same skills that Ang has... I came with the conclusion that with the old F/Vertu build you can do more damage and you don't need to worry about getting all the latest stuff from the last update. I'll share my 2 builds with damage total, both with 420 hits: ***\\Old F/Vertu//*** -Fäulnis/Vertu -Silver Solhelm -Risen Kushala Iram -Flaming Espinas Grip -Onmyo Ateobi -Storge Greaves -Wisdom Talisman(AB3-WE2)(4-1-1) ***\\Skills//*** -Attack Boost 7 -Agitator 4 -Razor Sharp 3 -Critical Boost 3 -Spare Shot 3 -Pierce Up 3 -Reload Speed 3 -Recoil Down 3 -Rapid Fire Up 3 -Windproof 3 -Kushala Blessing 3 -Furious 3 -Sneak Attack 3 -Weakness Exploit 2 -Maximum Might 2 -Evade Extender 2 -Ballistic 1 -Bloodlust 1 -Burst 1 -Intrepid Heart 1 With the old build I did 9,832 of Dmg. With this new Vigil Kugel build I did 7,893 of Dmg. It's 1,939 of difference and that's without proc Agitator and the extra 20% of dmg that you can get from Sneak Attack on the old build... The only good thing about the new build is the fact that you have 6 rounds per mag. IMO is not worth the heavy grind just to get less damage... Oh, and my 2nd build is the same as Ang with the only difference that I have Kushala Blessing Lv2 and Stun Resistance Lv1. #YoureWelcome

Can someone explain what ammo up does. I tried without it and with it and didnt notice a difference in battle. My ammo count was still 60 max on pierce 2.

it changes the ammo in clip not the total amount...you would need 2 lvls of ammo up to affect tier 2 ammo (spread 2, pierce 2 etc)

To be honest it depends, they both do roughly the same but lbg is just easier to use in general. HBG will outdamage it if Hunter can maintain good DPS with crouch fire and switch skill that gives additional hits which are easy to access. Basically if Hunter good in fight and can keep monster locked in place, HBG shreds. For general comfier hunts, this lbg will get you similar times. Also to get more bang, the HBG user cannot be using shield mod, power barrel only as shields decrease the damage by a decent margin. In multiplayer, it really depends on how many knock-downs your party can get cuz if they can, according to my experience HBG gives faster times. LBG easily shines in matchups where HBG is rough to use. I'd craft both as many of the core skills for both the builds are similar.

Ugh...I tried making this build, but I'm a stickler for not putting too many ranks of a skill on a build, and my only good Rapid Fire Up Talisman has Attack Boost 2 on it. I guess I could use the Risen Valstrax gloves instead of the Risen Shagaru one...my Silver Rath head and Risen Kush chest both have Bloodlust on them anyway... Edit: Yep, it worked, but I couldn't get the full three ranks of Steadiness.

I started again on Xbox and Malzeno gun is so good I simply added just it to my high rank set and it took down the urgent Allmother in G-rank easily. Just don't get hit. :D

Wish i could get this gun so bad but it's as if people forget how to use potions during the fight. Every time it's as if one or two people refuse to heal themselves and I get heroic builds etc but I'm sure it's not the case.

how to maintain max might? i prefer c.gore even less clip size because it is easier to 100 % affinity without max might. If i can find the 20% affinity with malzeno with out max might then malzeno win.

Maybe my testing is flawed. But I think my lbg pierce 2 is a little more effective than yours. I managed to squeeze in agitator and peak performance into the basic build. Still using Vigil Kugal the Zeno pierce lbg. My build from top to bottom is F Espinas or mizuha headress (rapid fire) R Kushala (recoil down) Prudence (attack) Prudence (peak performance ) Valstrax. (Rapid fire, mail of hellfire) My talisman is usually a rapid fire 2, intrepid heart 1 Or rapid fire 2 powder mantle. Both are a 3 3 1 slot or 2 2 1 slot. Im not running ammo up but could easily swap it in with my special ammo boost 4. I been looking for someone to make a lbg video since tu5. I also have a rapid fire normal 2 build that shreds too.

Not only too much work, is also the fact that the old build with Faulnis/Vertu does more damage and you don't need to reach or get the latest stuff from the last update to achieve this. The only Pro is the fact that you have 6 shot per mag... but with 3 with the F/Vertu I do 1,500+ more damage.

Thanks for helping make the lowest damage optimized ranged weapon the only thing I ever see in random lobbies, love hunting monsters with massive elemental weaknesses peppered slowly by dudes who die in one shot and massively slow hunts!

Armor set searcher says impossible to build, looks like you need a god charm and god qurio rolls for your build. I think you should have mentioned this at the beginning of the video.
