Hey AngBata do you think now that Sunbreak is done you could make an end game wyvern ammo build? (Please) I have been mucking around with a set using rhenoplos armour, which has been fun but I know it could be better and cant figure out what to use. I Figure you could make a fun powerful end game build. "Now we're cooking with Wyvern's Fire"

I'm personally more of a fan of the Velkhana HBG because of its far superior reload speed and that it gets moving reload with Spread 3. It gets to "Very Fast" reload with only two Reload Speed decos and "Low" recoil with two Recoil Down decos. Garangolm's HBG needs three Recoil Down to get to the same "Low" recoil and needs three Reload Speed just to get to "Average" reload. But the extra deco slots are nice, and it has significantly better raw.

I use Magnamalo and Velkhana hbgs for this build 100% the fastest reload is just too good to give up for the safety plus they have good slots as well and come with sticky 3s for occasional ko. Oddly enough I didn't consider Ballistics to be super important for my version of the build save for very specific matchups like Valstrax where the weak point is high off the ground. The default distance isn't terrible and the build is already good at just sticking close to the monster and the wire bug slide is a good enough distance closer as well.

It depends on his rage state, he can crush both. I think enrage he destroys pitfalls and in normal mode shocktrap doesnt work, but im not sure, maybe it was the other way😂

2 weeks on, I was able to make a version of this build with both Crit Eye 7 AND Agitator 5, which may be overkill, but Agitator IS extra raw, so it's not like the maxed out Affinity is overkill. I did give up Spare Shot 3, Kushala Blessing 3 and Guard Up 3, but you really don't need Guard Up for a whole lot, and a full set of Spread 3 combines should be able to get through most hunts unless you're not hitting weak spots a lot. Meanwhile, a single level of Evade Extender can be enough to help you avoid the few attacks that need Guard Up to block, like Risen Shagaru's standing laser and its nuke. And yes, it's using Velkhana's HBG.

crouch shot is terrible for spread, the animation to setup and unsetup does not make up for the very tiny fire rate that spread gets, youre pretty much doing the same dps as if you were just shooting normally. its fine for other ammo types though because they dont have the penalties that spread gets.

Looks like you're losing out on a 2-slot and a 1-slot for decos, the raw is significantly lower (370 vs 400), same affinity, and you lose 2 from the clip size, with the only advantage being that the reload can be made 1 level faster and is walkable. I don't think those tradeoffs are worth it. The Golclops has severe deviation, but that doesn't really matter for spread. And wyvernheart on the Golclops is probably better for this build than the Varka's wyvernsnipe, though I'm not sure it's worth using versus just pounding spread ammo into the monster's face, either.

​@@Corrodiasreload can be set to fastest and only requires one level of reload to do it. You do need recoil still. Clops can't get to fastest reload no matter what you do. Varka has much better utility ammo for mutiplayer and no native deviation. You lose the 2/1 slots and 30 attack, but I don't think the Clops is a slam dunk.

Instead of tune up, swap out some attack skills to accommodate Guard up 3.. Kushala blessing with super recovery dango and gourmet fish can handle the chip, I got mine built like that along with MOH and Bloodlust (augmented)..
