Ford Raptors are the BEST truck ever made - PERIOD! I recently drove mine across the USA without using roads (5,400 miles of off-roading). Made an entire KZbin series about it!! I hope to buy my THIRD Raptor later this year. (I've owned a 2018 and a 2020)

Pretty discouraging how expensive new cars have become. I remember when the first gen Raptor came out it was just under 39K US dollars. That was right after I graduated college and I remember thinking how I could maybe buy one in a few years with a good job. Fast forward to now and they start at twice that price essentially.

fwiw when you factor in inflation over time, $39k for an extended cab in 2021 money is $49.5k. Given the current one is crew cab only at $64k, it's pricey but given how much more tech/power there is, it's about right. The issue is lack of wage growth

@@myemailiscool Yeah I'd say a 15K price increase adjusted for inflation is still pretty huge especially considering inflation has been so high. Here in San Diego, 87 octane is $5 now and the average price of a house is close to a million dollars. Wages have not gone up to anywhere near this much. Essentially, most people have way less disposable income and than they did ten years ago and to me that's one of the main factors in a strong economy. You can barely eat at McDonald's for less than 10$ now which means I don't have the extra cash laying around for the 80k Raptor haha.

Their are plenty of folks with money. Ford can’t build Raptors fast enough. Buyers feel they are getting a deal if they find a dealership willing to take their Raptor order at MSRP. Most Ford dealers have an ADM of $5-$10k. Prices for the upcoming Raptor R V8 are going to be off the hook.

TRD Pro is not a Raptor/TRX competitor. Raptor and TRX are both widebody, long travel suspension, Baja ready trucks that come standard with 35’s with the Raptor having optional 37’s. TRD Pro has none of those. TRD pro is in the same class as the Tremor, Rebel, and upcoming ZR2 and AT4x. Raptor 37 package gets the same rear axle ratio as the 35’s - both get a 4.10 in the rear.

It’s why our used prices on average are double that of other countries that actually regulate such monopolies. The supply chain is a small part of the pricing issue.

Gas mileage is atrocious for ecoboost trucks jsing. I get 16L/100k *not great lbh* with my hemi, spiritedly driving city/highway. Ecoboosts that I've got at work get low 20's 😬 turbos be thirsty my guy. Hemi's run in 4 cylinder mode most of the time 😅 I've had it as low as 14L/100km combined if I take it real easy. 9-11 highway.

Trent Palmer (great aviation KZbinr) fit 37's on his 35 raptor. You can fit a 37 in the spare 35 compartment. Gotta finesse and use a ratchet strap to put 37 into pocket. It'll work!!

Raptor is the most attainable super truck I own one the monthly payments aren’t terrible the insurance is good bc it’s classified as a F-150 they ride wonderful and when u want to have some fun u can and there is no price u can put on never having to worry about the weather rain , snow extreme heat or cold the trucks fine. Not a perfect truck but none are overall great choice if u can afford only one vehicle to do it all

Honestly, I was in the whole “V8 Raptor! BooYahh!!!” crowd but to think about it, a tuned Stage 2 Gen 3 Raptor with a 3.5 V6 HO is all you really need. Tune it to about 500HP is solid enough. I’d prefer a 5.0 Coyote tuned to 500HP crank hp though…

Tremor is much more normal and usable. Better Tow capacity and general good work and luxury truck in every way. Raptor is much more sporty and would just wait for the Raptor R to make the separation.

The exhaust sounds a lot better than the Ram simply because of the theme of the truck (Baja). Ford is clever for tuning the note of the exhaust perfectly to make the trucks purpose.

I just got a 2021 F-150 Lariat... I wanted the Raptor, but it's just too expensive for me. I'm loving my F-150... style, comfort, features. Ford's on fire right now. Although, the new GMCs have grabbed my eye a bit... lots of healthy competition in the truck market right now. I'm jealous that this Raptor in the review HAS a charging plate. I couldn't get one on my F-150!!
