The original Razer Mini was known for being a solid budget pick for people with small hands. The only downside was a wire and slightly old sensor. I’m glad we can now have the option of buying a wireless version, it only took 3 years of waiting, and only costs 10x the price. Keep going strong Razer!

My legitimate concern with the cutouts is *the exposed circuit boards.* I've had to repair too many circuits in *enclosed* systems from dirt & debris alone not to be sincerely concerned with exposed circuits in a space designed to be constantly touched by nature (not to mention the $280 price tag). A frosted or clear plastic barrier as an option would be nice, but would also inescapably lengthen the lifespan of any device with exposed boards.

Honestly, I don't understand the cutout craze. It just seems like a massive pain when it comes to cleaning. I know everyone wants the lightest mouse out there, but switching mice is like switching controllers (PSY to XBOX). There is a period of adjustment, but after that, it's basically just like normal. I use a fairly heavy mouse (G903) and have no issues. Even though that has a few areas that are hard to clean, if it had cutouts it would be much harder to clean. As for the price, idk it's expensive but that's the standard for "Special editions". My next mouse may end up being close to $200 but that's because the infinite scroll is something I don't want to give up. There is however a cheaper option if I want to give up the wireless function. As for the frosted Plastic or even plexi. I agree it would be a welcome design choice, something we haven't really seen on a mouse yet.

I'm enjoying my Razer Viper mini but man, most of the reason why I went with it in the first place is because it had NO HOLES. I've tried several ultralight mice and I just never liked the hand feel of those holes. The "it's not a palm grip mouse" is a weak argument. There are people like me with smaller hands who do palm/hybrid palm grips on this size of mice. Never mind the steep price tag, I'm against this design because of the holes. I wish batteries of wireless mice were removable so you can run them as lighter wired mice.

bro unless youre a 5 year old child i dont see how you can comfortably and reliably palm grip this mouse for an extended period of time. finger tip and claw is the way to go anyways. youre not an alien bro just get used to the grip. unless you're confusing the grip terms I think you're in the wrong market if you wanna palm grip small mouses. look at the DAV3 or GPX if you want those types of things

to anyone who thinks the price is insane, razer did say the viper mini ultimate will be less expensive but coming later. the signature is meant to be an ultra premium, ultra high performance art piece. I like my normal Razer Viper, was affordable and works well enough. I have small hands, so part of me wants to go to a Viper Mini, but I also want to go wireless for my next mouse since I normally play with pretty low sens (or if not wireless at least something with a higher polling rate) and this looks perfect but way too expensive. Honestly, the cutouts look REALLY sleek. Love them compared to the standard hexagon cutouts we've been getting for years. If this thing had ambidextrous side buttons, I would be very interested in it. It's super light, looks great, is geared toward fingertip grip, but... no right-side buttons. I really question why Razer stopped putting the ambi side buttons on the Viper series--they make mice like the Ultimate so much more versatile.

1)No they haven't. We can go over average prices on eBay, FB, MM, Offerup, and they usually go for half that. And do you think stating scalper prices as justification for that brand's MSRP is reasonable, ethical, or logical? I mean most people would find it disingenuous at the very least. 2) 2nd sentence is subjective. But why not at least say that magnesium is more expensive to justify the price? 3rd sentence contradicts your v2 video which is the entire reason I commented. I don't care if you think this mouse is fairly priced. But you 100% did a complete 180 on your feelings about cost, value, and weight. To be specific your exact words were, "Is 16 grams worth 70? To me, NO!" This Signature Viper Mini is only 12 grams lighter and is $230 more expensive.
@zuckoVAL
@zuckoVAL Жыл бұрын
@@Ken-zg3ze There's a huge difference between 80 grams, 60 grams, and 49 grams. It's not even close. If FM came out with a mouse that was ONLY 29g would you still complain? Because it's only 1g lighter than their newer upcoming release? The V2 Pro didn't have the 2 glass skates (which cost more than 20 dollars separately), the 4k dongle (which is 40 dollars separately). I mean look at the f*cking box it comes in. That's like reviewing a literal Bugatti and your main argument being "it costs too much" well no sh*t what do you expect. Don't blame Razer for these prices, blame the shills who have 10 different colored GPX stored away in their drawers or the 50k sold out in less than a day overpriced FinalMouses coming out with horrible sensor and QC issues. Does your FM come with a 4k dongle? Motion sync? Glass skates? Asymmetric cut-off? Exactly. And this is signature edition, it's not "consumer friendly edition!". It's like a Gucci product except you actually get what you pay for, the best mouse on the market currently due to its sensor and shape(which a lot of people like). Wait until Summer when they release the consumer friendly editions then complain. Razer reps themselves said they don't make any money off of this mouse, what you get is literally what you pay for. This is a super niche mouse for a super niche market for super niche rich people. Treat it like it is

Good review, but the mouse is not for me. I don't mind smaller to medium sized mice, like the Finalmouse Starlight or the CoolerMaster MM712, so I think I could get along with its size just fine. But my meaty hands do tend to rest on the backstrap of the mouse, and I've heard several reviewers say that's fairly uncomfortable with those cutouts. With most mice, with smaller holes, I don't mind it. They just feel like texture to me, not holes, but this mouse's holes are massive lol. I'll wait and see what comes from the non-signature edition mice. Hopefully they'll have another one made of magnesium, just without the holes. I do have a Pwnage Stormbreaker on order too, another magnesium mouse with holes, but much larger. Here's hoping that's a good mouse as well, otherwise I'll be sticking with my Starlight.

Is that a Pokemon card in the background? Been waiting for more small, wireless mice. Switched from the wired viper mini back to the wireless G305. Will have to try this one out. EDIT: At this price point, forget it. Hard pass. Might look into the cheaper model when it comes out.

I can not emphasize enough how much I appreciate the dock for the previous gen devices from Razer. Using a dock instead of a cable was a game-changer for me and because the new lineup ditched it completely, I'm going to stick to the previous-gen lineup for sure.

Recently, I found a more durable, swapable mouse that I can say is good for gaming and budget friendly. It's Tecware Pulse Elite. I've used the original Viper mini, and to be honest, Im not for it. The scroll wheel is not long lasting for that mouse, and not sure with this one either. For now, I'll stick with Tecware Pulse Elite. I've used, Steelseries, Glorious and GPro of Logitech.

The best thing about Razer is they still have really great products in all ranges and prices. Not everything they make is perfect or for everybody, but they have a decent bit of variety, and hopefully the economic version is of some lasting quality. My basilisk is great for my wide stubby palm, my huntsmen tkl is a tad sensitive for my liking, but I’ve gotten used to it tho, and it’s like completely unlimited key press Anti ghosting. Synapse can be a lil clunky but I’ve fallen in love with programming all the led devices it controls.

all around it isn't a good deal. Personally I think people are better off waiting on the plastic version. The price is ridiculous for a mouse of it's size and spec and has to much competition to be a top tier mouse (price to performance). If you want an endgame mouse look further it's simply to expensive.

What competition does this mouse has except starlight 12
@zuckoVAL
@zuckoVAL Жыл бұрын
@@augustinjean4986 starlight isnt even a competition at all. the qc issues are far out of hand and razer has the best sensor on the market along with extra glass feet, 4k dongle (makes a huge difference on 240hz) every other mouse is years behind. I personally compared the Focus Pro 30k to the Hero 25k sensor and 3395, all of them felt years outdated except the 30k. There is no competition there.
