The new Captur from Renault - we have the R.S. Line E-Tech Hybrid 145 Auto, in Desert Orange with a black roof.
It's fitted with a 1.6L hybrid powertrain, coupled to a 6 speed automatic transmission.
Prices for the range start at just over £20,000.00 - the model we have costs £28,200.00 with the £700 metallic paint option.

Iv had mine a year now Anton. I got blue with black roof. It’s a beautiful car. I got the S line and all the upgrades. I just need to drive it more haha got it a year ago and only drove 700 miles in it. Think it’s got 762 miles on the clock lmao 😂 but you won’t be disappointed anton. It’s the best car Iv had to drive and comfort wise as well. I love all the tech and apple drive and front and rear cameras. Helps a lot when reversing etc. Also love you can have eco or sport mode and all the lights inside change colour. Uber cool :) Enjoy your car when it comes. I remember being tempted over the white but the order time was months and I didn’t want to wait that long so I went for the blue instead as red was out of stock and the burnt orange was also out of stock and I didn’t like the grey. So it was white. Or blue. White with black diamond roof is gorgeous thou. Enjoy it. It’ll soon be juneeeee :-) Xox

How does it on cobblestone pavement? Does it vibrantes on center console and touchscreen? Try to squeeze the chrome edges of instruments panel and air vents. Does it sounds annoying clicks?

No vibration or shaking when we drove it, build quality felt sturdy as it did in the Clio we had, thank you Carlos

Thanks for the review. You seem to be as enthusiastic about the Renault e tech full hybrid as you were with the Honda Jazz. I am torn between the two. I believe I will get better mpg from the Honda but like the look of the Captur better. What would you recommend. Which car is more comfortable and which handles better?

You’re spot on, as for additions Renault is touch more refined, Jazz handles better due to proportions, wheel at a corner etc, plus you have mega practicality with Jazz. Both did impress though, hope this helps Steve.

As you well know I'm not at all a fan of these SUV type vehicles. That said there are clear improvements over the previous generation. The car looks reminiscent of the old model but the redesign really lifts the overall look. The tail lamps and the front end now looks a lot like the Mégane and Clio with the new headlights Interior looks improved too. Seats look very good, very Renault. Think I'd prefer to ditch the black headliner and big wheels though. Renault always were very good at making cars that ride comfortably yet still handle with composure when pressing on a little.

Essentially, the Duster is less refined than Captur both have decent Renault build quality, both drive well, yet powertrains are very different.

Hybrid tech is likely to be at a premium for sometime to come, this is priced very competitively, thank you Stephen

i read so many viewers at an utter shock about the prices. One very important thing to understand is that as of 2022 the "good ol' days" for cheap european cars is over. The EU commission regulations have come into place so at least a 10 previously "extra" options for driver assists, safety, and ease of drive have now become standard. Simply not profitable to sell even a simple little VW Polo for less than 20k.

That’s the hybrid at that price. It’s a very nice car and better than the Peugeot 2008 with far better seating and room inside the car. We swapped a 3 year old 2008 for this so we can make the comparison fairly especially as the new 2008 has the same cramped interior as the previous model. Me, I will be swapping my 3 year old 3008 for the Austral when it comes out. 18 inch wheels ain’t big, my car runs 19 inch, the bigger wheels make for a better ride. These cars aren’t designed to be hot hatches, they are too high up for that.
