Zach Cregger is an actual avid gamer and competitive gamer who streams on twitch unlike the other poser who claimed to be gamers, so there is a bit a bit of hope with this new director. I just hope Zach is able to secure CGI money for some monsters because some monsters are going to need it like the, Chimera's, HUNTERS, Giant Spiders and Possibly the Tyrant, also i hope they make the Crimson Heads Cannon.

Barbarian was a real solid horror film. Hopefully the big studio Constantin works with will pony up enough money to Faithfully bring the Mansion and creatures to life. And hopefully The OG cast take center stage and faithfully, Especially ChrisxJill.

Ah shit , here we go again.. 4:07 Because if they don't reboot the Franchise every 5 years, they lose the rights to make the film.. Capcom takes their I.P. back.. That way other production studio companies can bid on the Rights for the next go round.. A young James Marcus and Ozzwell Spencer are searching for something.. The Nidpaya tribe .. The stairway to sun flower and what that entails.. Where did this virus originate from ? What is the purpose for it? What is Spencer's goal? Why create Umbrella? Now, while watching the film everyone is brought up to speed , including the non fans.. They will be able to follow the story and narrative much better.. The O.G. fans will be pleased as well , to know that they are keeping the story as canon as possible.. 6:38 The last of us TV shows were great examples on how to keep the story 80 percent canon and 20 percent fan fiction.. Just so the director and writer can ad their little twists on it , without deviating from the source material..

WHOOOOOOAAAAAA. Wait up. Resident Evil is like more of a low budget, independent movie? The first game has tons of monsters, a huge mansion, a giant fucking snake.....do I need go on? The movie needs at least $80 to $100 million for the special FX alone to be even remotely accurate. That is why we will never get a truly great Resi movie. Studios don't want to pony up the money!

I am excited. I actually enjoyed the Paul Anderson films, I view them as their own alternate timeline thing. Welcome to Raccoon City though; too stuffed with story’s from RE 1+2, characters were too different from who they were, lack of actual horror. Felt like a fan film more than anything, unlike the Keeper Diary which was perfect. Hope this reboot is better.

I think that as much as I would love another Resident Evil movie, we as fans of the franchise have earned the right to be skeptical that we will *ever* get a good, faithful adaptation of the videos games.

Funny you ask our opinion on what we think an adaptation should be, because I'm writing one right now. I'm writing, first, the plot for a series based/inspired by Resident Evil. I know where the story will begin and end. I thought of a first season following a detective from Raccoon City, who ends up having to investigate murders in the outskirts of the city, and little by little he gets involved in a conspiracy involving the police department itself. The main characters would be the detective, still unnamed, secondary police officers we've already seen in the games and Chief Brian Irons. The plot takes place a lot in the RPD, on the streets of Raccoon City, in the Arklay Forest and a little in the Spencer Mansion. As for the tone of the series, I was thinking of something dark and mysterious like True Detective and the corruption and dirt of The Penguin. Starting in the second season, the series would follow the games from the first, with each season adapting a game until the destruction of Raccoon City. I need to write more and make it more cohesive, then I'll publish it for FREE for everyone to read and give their opinions.

I will die on this hill, BUT Welcome To Raccoon City wasn't that bad. I thought it was very rushed, I HATE that they shoved the first two games into one movie, HOWEVER. I REALLY liked the actors, the costumes, the sets, I even really liked the liberties they took with Chris and Claire's origin story and I've been a long time RE fan since 1998 and I honestly hated the Anderson movies. I REALLY think that movie would have done a million times better, had it been like a ten part series on a streaming platform or something.

The cinematography was good in WTRC. Robbie Amell was a good Chris. I think those two things need to be in the next film. Apocalypse was one thing close to RE2/RE3 in terms of blending story and cinematography and source material but it was basically following RE3: Nemesis with some subtle RE2 story in it like Angela basically being the film’s Sherry Birkin.

No resident evil movie has ever successfully been made. My perfect cast would be josh Holloway as Leon. Evangeline Lilly as Claire and Tom hardy as Chris redfield. As for wesker I would go with Anthony Starr or Michael fassbender

I dream of RE1 movie, with the mansion and its secrets, with no elements of later RE games. I would like it to be a slow movie, a true horror. It doesn't have to be over the top bloody or violent, that shit is not scary. They need to get the atmosphere right. Maybe approach it like an art-house film, make it weird and a bit psychodelic. And please, NO EASTER EGGS. No 'Jill sandwich' jokes, no itchy tasty, no forced 'Moonlight Sonata'. It never works, it's just cringy.
