@@MikeJAnthony It is more scenerio based, it does have alot of army management mechanics. 100% worth the money. I have not play American Rev yet but so far American Rev looks like it will be better. There is not a sandbox campaign in civil war

Eh the ultimate series has been "close" to total war series but falls short on settlement management and actual in depth multi faction game play. Ultimate general civil war is my all time favorite game tho.

If you're okay with massive overmonetization, bogus content drips, and a series whose mechanics continually get more and more shallow than by all means. I've been playing Total War since the beginning and the quality has drastically fallen. Not enough room in a KZbin comment thread to go on about it.

Got a book recommendation for you then. With Zeal and With Bayonets Only is an excellent history of the war which reveals a lot about the British army that might otherwise go unknown.

I appreciate that they specifically designated various units as militia and minutemen from the different towns in the area, very immersive! Although I seems to only have been there in the first battle before you assigned leaders, sad. Also they didn't include my town! Our Minutemen lead the attack at Concord Bridge, come on!

I love the surrender mechanic in UG. It makes the min maxer in me want to round up all of the enemy troops as efficiently as possible. But really, the UG series is awesome because you can also go in guns blazing and either approach works.

I know I’m being an backseat general, but I think you made a mistake stationing that first unit at the fence line instead of the Forrest. When you gave up the Forrest it allowed the British to use that position with more cover against your troops at the fence, which is why they got completely destroyed.

I think this is done because if you buy the game now it is not transferable to Steam, people will have to buy it again on Steam therefore devs get double the money from people who do this

The musket fire, men dying and smokes are not why I want to buy this game. This game sets the formation battle to reality. You can't sprint or march 100 men in a line formation and expect them to stay in formation.
