We still pay the 'Stamp tax' in the UK, we call it Stamp duty and whenever someone buys a house over a certain price they pay a % in tax towards the government. When David Cameron was Prime Minister he scrapped Stamp Duty for first time buyers in order to help them get onto the property ladder. Part of the Economic Covid relief efforts of the current Government they've frozen stamp duty all together so you don't have to pay it if you're buying a house till a later date.

Thought when it comes to things like GW starting the seven years war he was very misleading, (not saying purposefully by any means just so much history) GW had instructions just to march around and not attack.
