I miss vlogs soooooo much. They were the reason I subscribed and I miss watching the old ones that I used to watch during my study sessions all those years ago. But I’m so glad to see them coming back a little 💕💕💕💕

Trim the bottom five feet of the big pine tree by kids play area and that will give everyone more room, and you can get hat little garden area back, and the house could fit right under the pine tree ❤

I have been following you for years and seeing you be so gracious and kind with your children, you are my role model! I am still learning patience and being gentle and kind with my kids. AND I am so so proud of you for going screen free! We are mostly screen free family, don't own a TV even. We only watch cartoons when we need to cut their nails and then on my laptop. Otherwise, go read and play :D It's so so good for kids! Also when they do watch cartoons, we only pick ones that are more gentle and not so action packed. You can do this! have a beautiful summer!!!!

This feels so comforting and nostalgic 🥰 I really love the way you „show“ your kids, they are there but not too much! Not showing them or not talking about them at all would make everything less authentic…

Delilah , stay reassured that we see you, we watch your videos and appreciate the work you do. The overlooked but most important job of raising emotionally healthy human beings. I appreciate you so so much! On a high note, we were pregnant in the sane times... My baby girl is almost 6 months old. Like Ann Beth, she has few redish hair, she got green eyes, yet i am a black African. Her Dad is Irish American. I keep coming here for baby recipes... keep sharing them. I started watching you when William was born. Ever since, i learn something new by watching your videos. ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Sending good vibes from metro Detroit , Michigan.

I highly recommend audio books during quiet time. All 6 of my kids were raised on listening to the Little House series, Narnia, etc, during quiet play. They are now teens and adults who have an appreciation and love of literature and reading. In my early days of mothering they were physical c.ds, but I guess there is probably an app for them now 😆.

My heart melts seeing you use the wicker basket for your folding laundry load, my mom used her one dark brown wicker basket , oval deep with handles, for twenty years of doing laundry, ...I remember being a little kid running to the basement to get the laundry out of he dryer and taking that basket up to my mom sometimes to help her... But for twenty years, I knew he sound and the smell of it... I miss it more then anything

We are very minimal screens in our home too. We did purchase a Yoto for our older 3 kids and it has been so good. They listen to so many books and enjoy them in the car too. We are t using them as much right now with summer, but during quiet time and evenings they use them again. We also read way more books aloud now that we have minimal screens.

Beautiful. I love these outdoor talking vlogs. I used to never be in front of screens whatsoever, at least when my oldest boys were tiny, until they were maybe 8 or so. I have always put limits on things once they got older. You guys are doing a great job because you are proactive and present with your children.

@@cakielovesyouu children can have plenty of connection to the outside world through lots of other activities. There is no quality of entertainment in my opinion found on television. And considering television wasn’t invented until the 1920s and not mass distributed until after world world II television has not been a staple of the American family forever. True connections through play and adventures outdoors and museums and play parks is certainly socialization and connection to what you deem the outside world.

I think chairs on a table look neat and orderly, but how does that work? I have OCD about stuff on the floor being put on the table. It makes me wonder if the floor is so clean and the legs of the chairs are so clean, that it isn't an issue. Or maybe I'm just overly concerned. Looking for perspective and insight if anyone has any to offer... thanks!
