This is the most that I've ever heard Anthony talk. From Winter Soldier to Infinity War it seemed like Joe was the talker and Anthony just interjected every other question in interviews. Now that endgame is over I think it was mainly because he was either tired or just really wanted to talk about the movies but had a hard time talking without spoiling.

A branch reality was created when Cap time traveled back to be with Peggy. This is an alternate reality. So different events could have unfolded in this branch as he lived his life out.

Dawson Key no the timeline splits when ANYTHING is changed. When an infinity stone is removed the timeline splits into a dark reality

@@bullymaguire2913 you can't change the past, which they said in the movie. That's why killing baby Thanos wouldn't work. Any change you make when you go back in time creates a new timeline. Otherwise Loki disappearing with the tesseract would change everything in this movie. That Loki that disappeared now exists in his own timeline, separate from the main one.

He could have gotten more particles when he went back and returned it, or since Hank was alive in the present and in past he would have helped him, especially seeing that he had on a time suit that looked like ant-man's (his future or current suit), and that he had Pym particles on him. In anyone of those timelines he could have talked Hank into it as well I guess. They almost got the logic down, right up until they showed it was Peggy. If it had been another women, this whole thing would have been fine lol. I've played it out every which way, also considering each time he went back he clipped that branch. Like a stick with branches on it, the stick being the prime timeline. By the end he would end up with just the stick (MCU line) erasing/clipping each branch each time he returned a stone. No alt realities/ timelines, but that theory has its own issues. So close... yet even still he would create an alt reality, because he had the shield, or if it was possible to return to the MCU timeline without creating a new one (assuming he would have had to do all of those things over again with the knowledge of the present. Also a bum theory. This theory, by the Russo is the only one that bends and twists to fit into the story they created.

I think I prefer the writer's interpretation of old Cap. The branch timeline is only created when an Infinity Stone is removed. Thus Cap going back in time means he still exists in the same timeline. The husband Peggy spoke about was always Cap.

I think that when an infinity stone is removed it would alter the original timeline, but when someone does something and creates another timeline without affecting the original.

That interpretation causes a whole lot of paradoxes and causality issues with the film.

I don't think it would make much sense for the husband she spoke about to be Steve because that would mean Steve allowed Bucky to be kidnapped by Hydra, allowed Hydra to take over S.H.I.E.L.D for several decades, allowed Tony's parents to be killed and also didn't act to prevent any of the tragedies in the world that he would have been aware of. If it's a different reality then we can assume that Cap stopped all these things in that reality.

Trying to wrap my head around the timeline stuff for cap going back. Whilst I understand he went back when the past him is still iced .. does that mean past cap never got found and woke up 70 years later? How is it “our” cap then came back to 2023 an old man? How was he able to age? If anyone knows or has theories so it can become a bit clearer in my head, that would be great 😅

Well, Kevin Feige did say "marketing" so... ...but it also has a scene from Spider-Man: Far From Home right at the tail end so it might be about keeping Sony happy (Sony couldn't reveal details of Endgame in their trailers until Endgame came out).

I saw Endgame many times and there were screenings where, before the movie, Tom Holland says "we have a Spider-Man trailer, but it has to be shown at the end of the movie to avoid spoilers, so stay until after the credits to see it". You can imagine Sony not being too happy having to hold back. This re-release of Endgame with new Spider-Man footage could have been an attempt to mend the wounds. And even if only a few people went back to see Endgame again, its news and it will make its way to the internet.

Aelin The whole point of the interview is to advertise and capitalize on the re-release, of course it would be relevant to ask. And even if it weren’t, that misses the point of my comment, which was that this re-release is one of the most obvious last minute cash grabs from Disney ever. No matter how big of a fanboy of this movie or franchise you are (and make no mistake, I’m here because I’m one as well), there’s really no disproving this point, they’ve made it abundantly obvious. You’d have to be in extreme denial to not see it for what it is

Ok so... hear me out. What if the main MCU timeline is not in fact an original timeline but an alternate reality? And because as stated by the Ancient One to Hulk when he went to get the time stone that if an infinity stone were to leave a certain timeline that it would doom that timeline. Well ok. This universe is super screwed in every way imaginable because ALL THE INFINITY STONES ARE DESTROYED. Earth is now not just the epicenter but the super magnet for everything in the universe and the multiverse because 3 snaps took place on Earth. So in theory if only the one snap from Thanos happened, we see that 5 years after nothing really threatened the Earth anymore but the avengers themselves because they decide to save everyone and bring them back. What if Thanos actually SAVED the universe by only snapping once and that the only reason now more bad things are happening are because the Avengers went back and brought everyone back?

Hey Russo brothers, you guys are not brilliant, you both were the worst directors for the Hulk that ever lived. Whoever directed the 60's Hulk cartoon could have handled the Hulk better than the two of you. Not one of the Avengers films you directed included a Hulk out, not a single one and the only Hulk action in your movies is the cameo the two of you gave him in Infinity War to get his butt kicked. There was no reason for the Hulk to not Hulk out in Infinity War, no reason at all except as an excuse to exclude the Hulk from the movie. Then the payoff is supposed to be this neutered thing in Endgame? Really? You can't deliver any Hulk action scenes but you can show him dabbing and handing out tacos? We're supposed to commend you guys on the brilliance of that? How in the world do you make two Avengers movies and not even bother to include the Hulk in the final showdown of either film? That is an answer I have been dying to know. Will it be on the dvd commentary? Probably not. Did you guys get bullied by some big green dude when you were young? I don't know what kind of personal problem you two had with the Hulk as a character, but if you couldn't handle it, you should have allowed someone else to take over who could. You gave plenty of fan service to every hero, but passed right by Hulk fans in both movies. Lets break this down. How many hulkouts are in a Russo film? Zero. How many times is the Hulk featured in the final battle in a Russo film? Zero. How many times do we get a Hulk action scene or the Hulk fighting anyone or anything at all in a Russo film? One time, to get his butt kicked. If you want to see a movie that offers any Hulk action, don't watch a Russo directed film, that's for sure! You guys might as well just erase the Hulk as a character in your films and just call him Mark Ruffalo, because that's pretty much all you deliver.
