I have ryi150 things a tank dropped it and sparked it still works! Flashes red constantly and still charges. Definatly impressed by thus new one though. The fact that you can reverse charge batteries is kinda genious. You can charge the baterry on the way to work on the carport and leave the big charger in the truck on smaller jobs where you may only need one or 2 batteries. If you need a quick charge pull out your phone charger. Smart will definatly get it when its on sale

I have the first version, it's really handy having 120v power that can use Ryobi batteries. Great for camping, or power outages. My only complaint is that it's not pure sine, so things like fans really don't like it. (they will work but they run very hot) That said it's great for being able to charge practically anything even things like camera batteries etc that may not have a USB charger. The new version looks pretty cool too given you can also charge the battery with it. I might need to grab one at some point.

@@brucey5585 We lost power for 8 hours earlier this month and my little 150w inverter came in handy. I have a portable 6.5kw generator that will run my whole house. Unfortunately it was stuck in my shed because my car was sitting in front of the door with part of a fallen tree on top of it. Want to guess where my chainsaw was? It was dusk when I came home to this and there was no way I was attempting to saw that up in the dark. Ordered one last night, picked it up today. Thought I would really like this, but after charging the battery (at least the four green lights indicated full charge) I got an error (red/green flashing) indicating charging fault. Took the battery out and checked the connections, put the battery back in and the green light came on solid. Ten minutes later, it was back to a red/green flashing error. Took it back to Home Deport to exchange it, but it took forever to get someone to come up and unlock the cabinet to get a replacement, so I just returned it.

I wished they fixed the original flaw on these inverters. There should be a off on switch on the USB port. THe inverter draws small power to step down the voltage to 5v. So if battery is left plugged into the inverter it slowly drains your battery and after a few days the battery is done.

I do buy the extended warranty on larger items like power washers. The first Ryobi electric power washer I bought died after about 18-months and Home Depot exchanged my dead power washer with the newer improved model for free under the extended warranty. I bought a new extended warranty with my 'free' replacement power washer and had it replaced under warranty a couple of years later. :) I usually don't buy extended warranty for cheaper items like the 120v/USB power source.

30 watts for USB C is shit. 65w is required. Since want 100

Different devices have different needs. 30W is plenty for my mirrorless cameras, but not enough for my laptop. If you want/need 100w, then yes you will need something bigger and more expensive.

Link to Amazon charging cable?

There are LOTS of charging cables available on Amazon, some include things like inductive charging for Apple Watch. If you are charging something that requires PD charging with a USB-C port, it's best to use a simple USB-C to USB-C cable. However, items that do not require high current can be successfully charged with a USB-A multi-charging cable like the one I have. There are lots of options, but I think this is very similar to the cable I have. www.amazon.com/Charging-USAMS-Multiple-Connectors-Compatible/dp/B07QXVCFD1/ref=sr_1_5?crid=53MJWCIOVSNF&keywords=multi+charging+cable&qid=1686592358&sprefix=multi+charging+cable%2Caps%2C130&sr=8-5
