I bought this vacuum yesterday and it works great. I needed to replace the internal parts of my toilet and it sucked up the water with no issues. I'm also impressed with the build quality, it's portable size, and the fact that it was only $60. I have plenty of batteries, so run time is not an issue. I'm going to test this by cleaning my floors in my house with it. Ryobi knocked this one out of the park. Thanks for the great videos.

Hey Dave, try using the tip from a Caulk tube inside the outlet of the "Blower", cut back to about 1/4" Dia. and see how much better it blows debris away off your bench.

You sold me on another Ryobi tool. It's the momma bear of vacuums, fits right in between a hand held and a full size Shop Vac. Quiet, light weight and easy to carry. It's got more than enough power for cleaning cars and small and light enough for those places you either can't get a full size into or don't want to lug a big vac and drag a cord. Years ago I needed to cleanout my overflow pans for the HVAC units and water heaters after the roofers showered my attic with debris and this vac would have been the perfect tool for the job.

Thanks and this will be perfect for the boat. I asked you about the 18 volt Miter Saw and went to my store to check them out. I discovered they were $149 and had it in my hand twice and put it back each time. I had also looked on line at it so today I was glad I didn't buy it cause I got an email that it had a price drop of $50.00 so for $99.00 I will be getting one tomorrow. Thanks

The ports on the vac are 2 1/2in so any standard wet dry vacuum hose would work but if you do get anything bigger then 1 1/4in then the attachments won't fit and you would have less suction.

Suction is not nearly as good as the Ridgid. the battery life is a little low. It Killed my 4 AH battery faster than I thought (maybe 15 minutes). However, that being said I don't see me using my Ridgid very much at all anymore. this thing is just so convenient. I love it.

Bigger hose will mean less static pressure which means you won't be able to pick up "heavier" items. Great for sawdust but it may not work for nuts/bolts. Just something to keep in mind.

I agree at 40 cfm rating with the 1 1/4 hose... Putting a larger diameter hose on wouldn't be advised in my opinion.

Do any vacuums do hybrid? It seems like Ryobi mostly only does simple fans and lights in hybrid (plus a mower). I would think there is likely some issue with changing voltage so dramatically that the cost to do AC/DC plus convert down makes them too expensive to hit their targets.

@@sloanNYC Thanks for the comment. I have the Ryobi hybrid lamp and fan. I'm not sure if some of the major brands have hybrid vacuums available. If no company has hybrid vacuums it would be a good alternative to build hybrid vacuums.👍

🚨I think it's a good product and the reason why is I have had problems with big vacuums and homes they're very bulky and hard to get around getting through doorways and things of that nature so the smaller one with a battery might be solution. 👍

Can't stand the tiny wheels it came with. i picked up a 2 inch caster but the stem on the wheel you insert into the base of the vacuum doesn't quite fit. The stem is about 1.5 inches height by 8mm in diameter. I had to shave off a millimeter from the stem and the top of the stem post i angle shaved the tip. Now it fits. Only concern is trying to pull out the wheels if there is a break down. But I don't think its a real problem. Another note i bought a accessory (10 in nozzle) I cannot attach to hose. It's the exact same size fitting, so they just butt up to each other.

This vacuum is shit. It uses a completely non-standard hose size that doesn't fit any tool that I have anywhere. It doesn't even fit their own orbital sander! Ryobi made a huge mess with this one!

Yes! If you maintain your vehicle like once a week or from time to time. If it's been about a month that you have not vacuumed your vehicle, you would need a strong 5hp or higher vaccum. Then you would use this to do easy vacuuming from time to time.

With every option possible and smaller than packout, I can't fit the packout in my hatchback (reasonably that is). By year's end I'm going to invest ina system, and it's probably going to be versastack because price, options, and size.
