After a 30 year break I've returned to Sea Fishing the reason being is my wife has taken up the sport, I know what a lucky Bugger I am! So I've been using KZbin as a refresher as my fishing books by Tony Whieldon are now a bit out of date, they still make great reading & the illustrations of rigs & knots still come in handy in places where there's no wifi so I for one am very grateful for the time you take to produce these very informative videos

I have tried the weak link thesis using mono and have saved a lot of rigs but still lost leads, then started using an elastic band for the weak link both from the shore and boat. I don't seem to be losing as many leads now only the occasional loss and most times you can twang the lead free.

Sorry but we have been using the same rig for live baiting for conger for years. wouldn't have thought to use it for spinning though
@TAFishing7 жыл бұрын
Its primarily for spinning.I thought I said that in the film ? And using reversed lead clips with a 3-way swivel I don't think has been shown before ?

Hi I am going to Portugal in October and November and I am taking some travel rods, spinning length and want to do some fishing of the beach and the rocks, which of your videos would you recommend to watch, I thought that this one on lures and the set up was good, but are there others that give examples of method and rigs to tie and lures and baits etc. DG New Forest Thank you in advance.

Could this rig be used when fishing over rocky ground? Beach fishing? Would it do the same job as a rotten bottom?
@ct0267 жыл бұрын
Bradley Howe It's the same principle as a rotten bottom. It's ideal for rough ground. It was eluded to in the video too. 👍
@TheAutisticAngler6 жыл бұрын
Can't you do away with the bottom bent link on the weight and just hook the weight onto the top link, with the line connected as per? This saves you losing the bottom link every time you lose a weight.

Could you tell me what I need to buy so I don't end up buying the wrong size of tackle . Many thanks love the videos Mike from Scotland.

You need to get in touch with a local angling club and see if they have a sea fishing section.I am sure someone will be able to advise you.

Hey Graeme I have been loosing a lot of fish and rigs when fishing from rocks. I find your new rig very interesting but when you explain it on your video it is not easy to understand. I would like to make this rig but i need to see a digram. Could you please draw one and post it. Thanks J.Rodrigues.

Graeme, that's genius. I'd like to suggest an even more economic enhancement: use a rock/stone/pebble inside an old sock/cotton rag instead of expensive and toxic lead. From a shingle beach all you need is the cloth wrapper and some line/links.
@manchapkarm36267 жыл бұрын
still too much metal to get snagged up on just use the small rotters weak link to the lead , been using this rig for years with lures and sand eels .
