He graduated from orientation last night. I have some footage that's pretty cool. Last week for his 14th bday, we flew F-18 simulators at the Marine base. That would make just about anyone want to fly planes :) Hopefully I can thread this footage into the episodes when we talk about it. Thanks for your comment.

My wife and I had our first RV experience (rental) in Colorado in August 2012. Rocky Mt NP; Wind River Resort Campground, Grand Lake; Redstone Camp Ground, Carbondale; Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP (South Rim), Montrose; Monarch Pass Campground, Salada; Twin Peaks Campground,' Leadville; Golden Gate Canyon SP. Magical time. We bought of first RV (1990 Fleetwood Flair 22D) shortly after. We just upgraded to a 2018 Thor Hurricane 29M. We can't wait to get back to Colorado after my wife retires next August. My wife and I have been watching for the past two seasons now. We bought are camper last week and now tweaking it to fit what we want out of it. Janiece and I will start our full time rev living in June. We will have two teenagers with us and that is thanks to your channel. Love the Channel....Here is a "pro-tip" an old timer told us when we first bought our trailer. We always keep a spare Truck key in the trailer, and a spare trailer key in the truck. They are tucked away, however, It has paid off a few times. You never know when you will be stranded and locked out. It may be worth a mention on a video to help others. Love what you guys do!

That’s crazy. Know we talked about trucks months ago. I just picked up a 2017 F250 Lariat Magnetic. Diesel last week. I decided to just get the 6.7 and not have any second thoughts when towing. Going to decide on TT next summer. You will love how that truck drives. I love it.

Yay! Season 4! Can't wait! 👍😄 Totally get the design layout on the trailer. One of the requirements of our last 5th wheel was I had to be able to access all areas of the camper with the slide in and it needed a rear bunkbed setup for two. It was a Keystone Laredo and we loved it & traveled all over on vacation for almost 10 years. Now we have a cabin .... but we miss our adventures in the RV.

Congratulations on the new truck. We use to have a 35' 5th Wheel and it pulled so much easier than a large trailer. They are like a house on wheels. The only real downside may be it won't be as easy to find campsites in National Parks/State Parks depending on how big you go. We ended up downsizing to our current 18' trailer just so we could get into some amazing campsites. Thanks for some of the best videos on KZbin!

We bought a Ram 2500 heavy duty truck in July. Wish us luck I have never towed a camper before other than practicing pulling our friends.

Yeah, I've had 5 GM's and I do like On Star. It's let me down twice though with not connecting to truck. I still prefer the door code of Fords. However, one must KNOW the code.

We have been RVing for 3 years. 1st Year we rented a TT and went to Yellowstone from Florida. Year 2 we purchased a 34' Jayco bunkhouse, but we did not have a truck to pull it . So we purchased a Ford F250 Turbo diesel. We do weekend trips and 1 long trip in the summer. On a trip this past April to KY, our Jayco water heater burst and flooded the trailer. It was totaled. So we traded it in and got our Grand Design Reflection 5th wheel. I still have a few years left until I retire. But then watchout We will be on the road as Part Time Full Timers. Or is it Full timers but only part time! Love your videos and have signed up for the HOW TO YOU TUBE course and getting into videography. Thank you for all you do and your videos!

We (empty nesters) upgraded too! Bye to ‘98 F-150, hello ‘17 F-350, CC, SRW, 6.7L D, XLT 8’. Thanks to you guys we got the right truck first. Now a month later: ‘17 Grand Design Reflection 307MKS, fifth wheel. Under 35’, thanks to your advice. My brother in SC has tow trailer, my sister in NYS has Model C. I'm looking forward to this new season. I like the new truck although for a 5th wheel I would have done dually. HaHa I know how it is to lock yourself out in the sticks. I had to break window to get in. It will be fun to see how ginger does in winter. We have people that go all winter up here but they need to skirt their trailer. That's what slows me down on RV, but I'm working it out. I spent a decade in Colorado so I'm looking forward to more memories. Happy trails.

Y'all should drive over McClure pass. It's about an hour and a half -two hours longer from GJ to Denver but way more beautiful that taking I-70 just make sure the weather is clear and you'll get to see a bunch of small Colorado towns

Great advice about discovering your own back yard too...just had a planning session last night for our summer 2018 RV road trip and we're focused on a few destinations in our home state of Pennsylvania and possibly into New York. Planning is so much fun and I get so excited thinking about our little travel trailer caravan rolling down the road! Also-the car...I feel like it losing trim pieces is just a negative side effect of owning a VeeDub...been there done that!

I feel your concern about the big transition. I just spent 3.5 weeks truckless while I got the Duramax suped up, then 2 weeks dealing, waiting, and transferring all my stuff from one 5th wheel to another. It takes a lot of time away from the fun travel, although in the end I am super happy with the truck mods and new 5ft longer 5th wheel. Btw it is a Solitude by Grand Design(like your friends). Awesome company super solid and great value also.
