New Security Check Disneyland Resort Sucks May 25, 2024!

Wow, someone who makes Disney videos that's actually not super cheery and positive about the Park. I find that rather refreshing actually. Most Disney vloggers tend to be all sunshine and rainbows and seldom, if ever, have anything negative to say about Disney, so it's nice to see someone actually tells things from the perspective of regular park goes who's not an AP holder.

Disney recently admitted they lost 50 percent of their cast members after COVID and the new ones aren’t properly trained.

lol could’ve been my fault and other pot heads they caught me with two vape pens and didn’t let me take it back to my car they discarded them infront of me a waist of $60 bucks. They swear it was fentanyl or cracks

Sorry. They shouldn’t have taken your vape pens. From what I heard it was mostly alcohol that was a problem. Grad night kids sneaking alcohol in. There was also a knife and some glass bottles.

I heard they've had lots of people sneaking things into the parks. It's sad, but this is why some places now require clear bags.

There are far more efficient ways to run their security. You don’t see these issues at Universal.

go to the toy story lot. super fast thru security. We have stayed at the shearaton last couple times and just walked across the street into the lot 1-2 minutes of security, on the shuttle, and drop off where all the busses are. 10 minutes, tops from hotel door to disney entrance.

Totally missed the issue. If everyone takes your advice, then the problem moves to Toy Story. The problem is Disney security procedures are incompetent. You don’t have this problem at Universal or Knotts.

I noticed that they drilled holes in the concrete beams to install the sensor cables. How do they know that doesn't compromise the strength of the beam?

I know it does nothing to assist the function of the sensors but now I have something new to think about every time I park there.

Park in the other lot and go thru the quickest security check in disneyland

Easy. I give Disney a lot of money per year and I don’t expect much in return but I do expect competent people in charge of security. I don’t think I should be ever inconvenienced as a customer because Disney can’t get its act together.

Nope. You will still have to deal with a 30 minute plus security check.

I get it’s a huge inconvenience now but so many ppl were posting how to sneak stuff in on social media so this was bound to happen and I’m sure it’s gonna change again and be even more stricter if this doesn’t work

And you did this why? The magic is that they have been able to capture peoples money and time despite the ludicrous circumstances and $ they charge us all to endure the “experience”.

Because I wouldn’t be paying for a ticket right now with the system in its current form. I am hoping people will see the video and save their money. There are better ways to run their security check and people shouldn’t constantly reward Disney for failing.

How exactly are the security measures different? When I went in February they only searched my bag, not my person or wanded me. Has this changed?

Back to baskets for your phones and wallets and everything has to be passed through screening by security. It is doubling the time it takes to get through security and it has been in effect for two weeks.

That’s life. Universal and knotts see a lot less visitors than Disneyland. Thus the quicker lines. Just gotta adjust to the new security guidelines. No big deal. That’s why I get there early. Don’t be negative. Focus on the positive. You’re wealthy enough to go to Disneyland. Be happy. Others can’t even go. There are kids who dream of Disneyland. You should be thankful you’re there. So make up your mind: Is it there is a ton of people there or is it too expensive for people. Let me help you, the Disney Resort has not recovered from COVID and the park numbers are down. The top three keys have been available for months. Universal, Knotts and Legoland have just as many guests if not more. This is just another failure on Disney’s part, plain and simple.
