I love Valis, I have the original Japanese ones on the Megadrive, Super Famicom and also the Japanese PC Engine CD ones too. Love the artwork and cut scenes (probably more than the actual clunky games mechanics)😅 Oh, it's pronounced the first way you said it: Val-iss, rather than Vail-iss😅 I think it's funny that they changed SD Valis to Syd of Valis🤣

OH THANK GOD!! I was so worried I was going to insult the fandom if I got it wrong 😂 I also found that funny, but then again... localization does weird things sometimes haha. This got me curious though about why this collection is different than what is offered on the Switch currently (1, SD, and 4). Any clues?

@@chocobose these are the Megadrive versions, Genesis in the US, the Switch collection are PC Engine CD versions, which had the CD sound and animated and voiced cut scenes, apparently Valis IV was only on PC Engine CD and Super Famicom and SNES, people think the reason IV never made it to the Switch is because it's already available in the Switch store as a SNES version and maybe there was some licensing issues... shame as the PC Engine version of IV would have been good to add to the Switch collection, seems a little silly. I have Valis III on the Megadrive and PC Engine CD, as the Jap Versions and same gorgeous Artwork, the US redo art is horrific...🙃

Thanks man :) it got really bad over the last two months (being let go from full time made me feel lower than dirt), but I’ve been working on myself and recently got an opportunity that’s great for me and my family, so now it’s starting to be good vibes and great games again 💜

2 was on PC I think and 4 was on the SNES. The Valis games have many versions of their games, take Valis 1, you have the Gyo 1986 version, the Sega Version, the later PC version and a other PC version without the cutscenes.
