Ordered an SNJ037 for $500. Only automatic Tuna on a bracelet seems to be out of my price range at $800. This one being limited to 4000 pieces worldwide will make it kind of unique which I like. Good overview.

I've watched a ton of reviews on the newest Arnie and I'm shocked that no one mentions this big difference. Especially if you wear the watch on your left, the pushers now being on the right side of the watch, are much easier to unscrew and operate with your right hand (as opposed to unscrewing the with your right hand on the previous model - which I do have). So that's is a big difference in ergonomics imo.

It's a bit of a stretch calling/comparing this to Arnie's from the movie. Whatever you need to do to sell them I spose. Anyway, I got the black one LOL. Loving it, and I swap it out with my SNJ025 now and then.

I like these new versions. The shrouds being stainless steel allows them to actually be thinner, which I think looks better and less bloated unlike how they appear to me with plastic shrouds.. additionally, for the high end Tunas that use a ceramic shroud, those are also kind of thick and bloated looking. The watch is large enough without needing, well.. looking bigger than it already does. I think the dial also looks more balanced with the lcd screen on the bottom.. being primarily an analog display watch, it makes more sense to me to keep the more dominant visual weight on it and that means taking up majority of upper 2/3 of the dial instead of the reverse where it was occupying the bottom 2/3.. idk, for me, whatever should be more dominant feature should be on top. And because the digital display is much smaller and sort of a 2ndary reference, it makes more sense to lower it's visual priority towards the bottom of the dial. And, I do believe this new version packs a couple new functions/features the previous Arnie reissues didn't have.

I think Seiko will end up with long term brand damage not putting sapphire in at that price point given what the Chinese manufacturers are doing at much lower price points

Unless I am mistaken, "Hardlex" is between the hardest mineral crystal and Sapphire..please correct me if I'm wrong 🤔 But these are expensive..

The Hardflex is seiko's version of mineral crystal, it is less scratch resistant than sapphire

Got the snj033. What a piece of crap. Nothing is lined up, and it malfunctioned out of the box. I thought it was a counterfeit but the seller told me he’s an authorized dealer. Way to go Seiko.

Visually - yep, yep & yep. Does the Hardlex bother me - nope*** Will I buy - nope, nope & nope. Why - too doggone expensive for what you get: 1) Price too high for what you're getting & the Hardlex*** 2) Solar movement. Don't get me started 🤨 3) WTF are those things impersonating end links on the bracelet models? 4) $750? - nope. Shouldn't exceed $500. I'll pay a thousand $$$ for this watch with the following corrections: 1) Properly designed & fitted end links. 2) Proper milled clasp w/minimum 5 micro adjustments or adjust on the fly feature. 3) Dump that PoS solar movement and replace it with an automatic movement. If it won't fit in the current size case, use an automatic movement from their Women's line. *Those revisions would be worth a $1,000 price tag* Hardlex or Sapphire crystal; I don't care either way if those revisions above are made & can keep the price where I suggested.

I have both SNJ 025 and now SNJ037...It is a much better watch, with better lume, better overall feel and more legible digital display. I was worried about markers at the bottom, it is not bad at all. I like it even better now. Proper Arnie re-re-issue.

this watch originally comes with quartz and rubber strap. what wrong with quartz. are you afraid of accuracy? this is tool watch and quartz can keep accurate time. it has solar and don't have to worry about power reserve. maybe change the battery every 10 years. and doesnt take to long to change it. and compare to mechanical watch. how is it to compare the servicing time and how long it takes to service it compare to quartz?

@@eyunseville1310 You've missed the point of my post. I have no issue with quartz movements & their accuracy. About a third of my collection is quartz. My issue is specifically with the Seiko Solar movement. Seiko does not do well with Solar. I have owned 5; with 3 being in the Prospex line (spent $450 on the SNE435 when it first came out. The movement crapped out in a little over a year.) and ALL of them had issues. Got rid of 4 and dismantled the 5th in order to create something new using the case. I still have my Seiko quartz watches from 1978 and 1985 with both keeping perfect time. Back to the Arnie - If Seiko had gone with a newer modern Quartz, we wouldn't be having this discussion about the movement. For some reason Seiko doesn't do well with Solar unless it's the Astron line. But, I'm not going to pay an Astron price for an Arnie.

Not a ARNIE. Digital at 6 instead of 12. One extra pusher. The watch looks all wrong. Markers at the bottom are lopped off and in a straight line. Call it something else, it's not a ARNIE. Especially not at $700-$800. Plus number four is bad luck to asians.
