Cool update but no one was really asking for a DIY overhaul. Session devs have been disappointing the long-lasting pre 1.0 fans for a while now, and I feel like this most recent update has cemented a disdain from the community for not bringing attention to the things people have been constantly asking for for over a year- things like Improved transition skating, grabs, goofy stance, and open lobby freeskate.

I bought Session years ago when the map was crazy-small and played for a handful of hours before being far too frustrated with it to continue. Fast forward to getting a new computer and I figured I would give it a whirl and I was impressed with some things, but there are still certain things that are pretty much a disaster. Getting on and off your board is terrible. Half the time my skater will just continue to run when I click to get on the board. The animations for it are terrible too. I wish you could hold the board by the nose as you throw it down and have the tail scrape the ground for a second. Could also have the triggers control your hands and arms while on foot, but that sounds like a lot of work probably. The walking overall seems janky. Some games seem to do that on purpose so maybe this is just the style they're shooting for. Another small gripe I have is the corny feel of the city. It feels like I'm skating in a Fallout universe with all the barriers and police cars littering every block. Just removing the overflowing number of them would help a lot imo. No drop ins on vert is criminal. They seem in over their heads as far as transition skating goes, so I wish they focused on getting that smooth before adding stuff like FDR park or just calling it a street skating sim.

@@173jaSon371 Calling it a "STREET" Skating Sim would definitely, at least, give them some sort of verbal defense against the transition-related gripes everyone has with the game, but they've chosen to stick to their guns by calling it an 'all-aspects-of-skating' Skate Sim. I feel like this is their attempt to keep the idea of transition open to improvement whilst also not having to commit to any real changes. Not gonna lie, I havent played Session in months because of this. Unlike the Pre-1.0 days, the Devs now really seem to favor only updating the game in ways that would bring them the most revenue as opposed to actually improving the game. I get it, game developers need to prioritize making money to further development, however when you abandon the original passion for the game in exchange for money, you might as well have never even started. The fans will not support that behavior, and they aren't. Their daily playercount is dropping rapidly since their peak count during the Ninja Turtles update. I havent even played it since then. I decided to try out XL since I was able to play it with friends, and while it is a very high-maintenance game (in the sense of modding, to make it playable), I still think it beats Session in terms of a COMPLETED game. If Session were to iron out ALL the kinks and lack-ofs, it wouldnt even be a competition. Session had the potential to become the greatest Skating game ever made so far, but chose to squander it in hopes for more money. Greed is soulless and bares no fruit in longevity.

@TheGethigh420 This actually depends on when you first bought the game cause old save files didn’t get updated. If you recently got the game (after April) then it will be on the RIGHT ledge. If you got the game Prior to April, it’s on the left. But either way it needs to be done in Regular stance and Nollie Fs 180. Make sure you release sticks before inputting the 5050 (do left stick Down, right stick Up for 5050)

I love the object dropper overhaul and am looking forward to the next iterations as I am really enjoy bulding my local parks❤ My addition to the current version would be to use the left and right shoulder buttons to duplicate the currently selected object to a specific side. Both buttons aren't used yet and currently its a bit tricky aligning copings, rails or boxes together. This would speed up building larger parks although having snap features like Satisfactory has would be a dream but not a must ;)

I hope going forward you guys don’t make unnecessary changes such as making the security light dim (I don’t usually skate at night but when I did I used that and now it’s kinda useless because it’s like the construction lamp lol). And since there’s been added space for DIY items please do the same for clothing as well. Makes no sense to have 7 or more variants of items and can only store 5 at a time. Very cumbersome to have to sale/delete items for a $1 instead of increasing space for more.

If this game continues being developed, 1 cool addition would be being able to customize your own skateboard deck like how you could create car wraps/skins in Forza games. I'm sure some talented people would be able to re-create pro model decks in it or you could toss your own name on one or just a cool graphic. I also think having the triggers control your hands would be sick while on foot, but obviously that seems like a lot of work. Imagine if you could buy wax and wax up a ledge to slide more? Once again, sounds like a ton of work that'd come after fixing current issues lol. If you could move your arm forward and backward with the triggers for each arm, once you click the trigger your sticks could then be used to move side to side.

The next update you guys do you should add a big flat surface that way if we want to build like a custom Park in the sky or over the water we have a big flat surface we could lay down and you know build a park on. I think it'd be pretty cool. And now I'm not saying like a stadium size flat surface but maybe like a basketball court or a small parking lot. That would be pretty cool. I know there's thousands of different things you can skate and with all the objects and stuff you can make a pretty good skate park. But I think it'd be pretty cool to start from nothing. I just hope this game gets online mode even if it's just freeskate. The only gameplay issues i have noticed are the game doesn't register your tricks properly for missions. Small bails are over exaggerated. Other than that my only complaint is we can't even join a server and skate with ppl. All they need is maps and prox chat don't even need any modes off the bat

This is standard in any business when you start a new job where if it doesn’t work out within the probation period, the employee can be let go. Its kind of super lame that to trigger the objectives we have to do things in such a specific way. The coolest part of skateboarding is how different skaters are and how people do tricks differently.

Well… these are Historical Challenges based on the IRL tricks that were performed at these spots so the same tricks have to be performed. It’s part of the history of the spots. Some tricks can be done in either stance but some locations and tricks must be done the exact way the original skater did them
