Some very nice catches out there! That reel has really held up great against some beast! As always, thanks for sharing!

@@davidwilliams1805 I’m not gonna lie I’m surprised by how strong this reel feels. They really put the “power” in twin-power with this model! The previous one feels a little more wild but this one feels like a fish cranking machine

Now that's a great day of fishing! Thanks for sharing. I've only ever caught one drum, but it was a fun fight. What type/test line were you using? Also, have you tried or had any luck using the Zman Herculez swimbaits there or in spots like that?
@AikenAngling5 ай бұрын
It was a blast! I was using 15lb braid mainline to a 40lb mono leader, but honestly using straight mono/flouro would be more ideal for this, I just love braid! I love Zman products, I use their jig heads exclusively now. And yessir that little swimbait will get eaten up quick around current! I used to use those a lot to catch white bass/drum/bass/etc when I was in college, I only switched to the jig head/plastic combo because its cheaper! Any 3-5 inch shad/minnow imitation lure is gonna get destroyed in similar spots to this where you fish the pooling water below current. Depending on the depth and current strength, you'll probably have to experiment with adding/removing weights from your line to figure out where the fish are holding. I use big split-shots for this since I can take them off easily if its shallow. Hope that helps brother! Thanks for the support as always!

@@AikenAngling thanks, that helps a lot! I'm hoping to get out to a dam in the next week or two and try my luck.

so whats ur verdict on TP vs Certate ?
@AikenAngling5 ай бұрын
@@AndrewAbashidze personally, I prefer the certate, but I can see why people might like the twin power more. Next video will be an information video putting them head to head!

@@jamesprovince6519 it’s the pearl river in Jackson! But this spot is a bit tricky to get to. About a mile walk through the woods

Good fishing love the video but I’d have to clean up before I left can’t understand why people leave their stuff everywhere especially with the chance of it getting in the water ways

@@kenfogarty5703 thanks man! And yeah I usually always take a trash bag of trash out of there when I leave, but when it’s this hot I only take out my own stuff, not gonna lie. Unfortunately people trash the place, and the river dumps trash there every time the water comes up and down.

Thank you and I fully agree! I usually bring a trash bag and take out one full bag when I leave, but I almost had heat stroke the other day on the mile walk back so I only take my own trash out when its this hot.
