I bought a heavy duty, quad monitor PSR1 with SR2 motion for my first sim rig due to your review. You can improve ease of entry or exit with a simple change. There are two 40x40 profiles that the seat slider is mounted to. Instead of installing them front to back, install them side to side. It gives you more room to get your feet in or out of the rig. I installed the pedal deck upside down which makes it much easier to adjust position of the pedal deck. I ordered the PSR1 bundle3 and I think it was a good choice. US Customs called me to ask what the ProSim mat was made of. The best answer is "It's a rubber mat. That will make US customs happy. Just don't say plastic. I bought the PSR1 in silver, not black. Silver doesn't show the scratches like black does. Black looks better now but I can see it will show scratches later.

I'm a little confused as to why you'd run Fanatec V3 pedals when you have what I think are a set of HE's on the shelf?
@ChrisHaye4 жыл бұрын
Good spot, I've got some HE Sprints, and a set of other pedals that I'm under NDA about at the moment as well. I tend to swap gear around depending on what I'm doing, the key thing about the V3s is that they work on the PS4, which the others don't. Eventually, I'll get a second rig set up for the console stuff.
@angryginger7914 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisHaye Ah, that makes sense. Nothing against the V3's, but I've never heard of anyone preferring them over the Sprints, so I had to ask. I'm interested to see what you have under wraps too. I got lucky and stumbled on a killer deal on a set of HPP PRX-SE's over a year ago. I'm really not worthy of them, but I'll never give them up. Haha! Cheers!

Chris, Love the review. I just dont understand why the rig builders stop with a 'stable' platform. Isn't the whole idea to make it realistic? Ergo a motion rig? I just started in the hobby and built my own 3 dof platform. (posted several videos to date).. WHY would anyone want to sit in a motionless rig (without VR) and pretend they are 'racing' when they are "Missing out' on the most fantastic sim experience they could be getting? Outside of the mounting on the uprights and the pedal stand being a little bit different, I would have said this is a P1-X from Simlab (I know because I just built the P1-X sitting next to me in my office). I guess the follow up question is, why one over the other? It seems they're so similar that it's probably just down to cost and ease of access.
