I have that smoker as well. Haven’t made any alterations to it. Never burned a brisket, ribs, pork butt, loins or chickens. Definitely cook and find the hot spot, but it does well for the price. Makes damn good que

Almost bought a brazos or horizon and lucked out at a killer price had to take a ride after work and secure the bag

I bought the brazos few years ago. The one thing I learned was never again buy a smoker where the diameter is less than 24” round. You may also wished you didn’t buy one less than 24” round.
