I’ve found that fanny pack carry works really well for me when I go for a run. It fits well and is comfortable with a t shirt and running shorts. It’s not the fastest draw, but it works well for me while I’m outside exercising.

@@MFDARYN Gun control and firearms possession in Germany According to the Weapons Act, you need a weapons possession card (Waffenbesitzkarte) to own or buy a firearm and a weapons license (Waffenschein) to use or carry a loaded firearm. This means collectors, for instance, only need the first. Hunters don't need a weapons license as long as they have a hunting license (Jagdschein) and only use their guns for hunting game. A weapons possession card allows gun owners only to "transport" a firearm, rather than carry it. That means it must be unloaded and inside a locked case when taken out in public. A license to carry a gun, or Waffenschein, is only granted in rare cases: Essentially when the applicant can prove that he or she is in greater danger than the general public and that carrying a gun will keep them safer. German law has no provision stipulating whether a gun must be concealed or loaded in public or not. Local authorities are responsible for processing gun license applications and therefore verifying reliability, personal aptitude and need. Depending on where the applicant lives, the competent authority could be either the public order office (Ordnungsamt) or the police. Amongst other criteria, the law says that applicants are deemed unreliable or lacking personal aptitude, if: They have been convicted of a crime in the last ten years Their circumstances give reason to assume they will use weapons recklessly They have been members of an organization that has been banned or deemed unconstitutional They have in the last five years pursued or supported activities deemed a threat to Germany's foreign interests They have been taken into preventive police custody more than once in the last five years They are dependent on alcohol, drugs, or are mentally ill. In addition, anyone under 25 applying for their first gun license must provide a certificate of "mental aptitude" from a public health officer or psychologist. Applicants for a gun license must pass an examination or have undergone training to acquire a gun. State examinations cover the legal and technical aspects of firearms, safe handling, and shooting skills. Specialized knowledge can also be verified with other examinations, as long as they cover the same areas: These include hunting license examinations, gunsmith's trade examinations, or full-time employment in the gun or arms trade for three years. The completion of certain training courses involving firearms, which conclude with an examination, is also recognized as specialized knowledge. In addition, officially recognized shooting associations can also carry out their own examinations.

For real. Sad to see the larping market is actually going towards belt kits and making larpers start thinking about sustainment. The buttpack will be thrown around quite a lot I imagine, but only if you actually run which the intended audience doesn't. And the split front instead of having a solid belt run around it so you AREN'T actually modular and carry lots of things is another great addition to this overpriced platform. Thank you Alex, really giving your best to combine the worst of both worlds.

@@KrokLP I'm not real into the tactical gucci gear scene: What both worlds are you alluding to? I'm assuming chest rigs and something minimalist?

@@JacopoSkydweller It lacks the actual modularity and utility of a belt kit, because it has a split front and no actual belt going round which will also make it move around a lot I imagine (what all the belt kits I like have in common is a strong belt for stability and utility. Best is a belt kit where the belt goes inside a sleeve/"soft belt" with molle on the outside of it and slits every few inches where you can loop the "hard belt" to the outside of the "soft belt" and then back in, for example for a holster). It combines the instability and flexing of bad belt kits with the lack of space and pouch options of a chestrig/micro rig. A fully loaded buttpack will already jump around a lot on a rigid hard belt when running, now imagine it's no hard belt but two flimsy straps it's attached to... I'm not a gucci gear guy either. My belt kit/battle belt literally has a 2004 Russian Smersh (they are much nicer than their current gen Smershs) soft belt as it's base. And that's the nice thing with belt kits. You can change every piece and every pouch of it. I can either run the original nicely padded Smersh straps or I can use slim battle belt type suspenders and run a plate carrier over em. Belt kits are also great for beginners because you can buy a pouch, put it on your belt kit, use it and test it and find out how you wanna run things, swap two pouches out for example, move something a bit further back, replace a pouch with something new that might work better. This doesnt let you do any of that. It's expensive, doesn't permit change and is blatently consumerist because of it. Their 34 alpha which is the base of this costs 125$ alone, two small panels and some bare straps. That 2004 belt kit I mentioned cost me 200$, included straps and belts, extra padding for when needed, 4 twin mag pouches, 2 medium GPs, 6 small GP/grenade, a 3 litres buttpack, and two 40mm panels.

Not to hate it but I think a lot of turkey hunting sets provide more ergo, easy to reach and water proof waist/butt bag. Just not as tactical looking. But man they are comfy. u can even attach little seat pad. Try it and you will be much happier man in the field, it doesn't always have to be blood and sweat.

As someone who has spent lots of money on Spiritus products and have been very happy with them, the asking price for that pack is way too much. I would have been interested even at $150 as a pack for my vehicle at work, but $280 for a small pack with backpack straps tossed in as an afterthought? 5.11 makes tons of bags that are more modular with comparable weight and size that are consistently on sale for less than $100. What are they smoking?

Whatever they can buy with the endless stream of income. Like all of the good gear makers out there, they don’t even need to advertise at this point. I doubt anything sits on their shelves, so they can pretty much charge whatever they want and people will pay. Frankly, I’m just glad it’s somewhat reasonable, as they could go way over the top and still sell out. I’m not saying I like it, but it is what it is.
