NEW SPORTS EXHAUST POLO 1.4 FSI/MPI *BACKBOX DELETE*

Getting a new exhaust for the 1.4 FSI polo mk5 to give it a nice sporty sound. we got the backbox removed and replaced with a straight pipe and now it's given the car a nice deep tone and it is much louder than stock.

Hey, i’m looking at a mk5 gt as my first car. What’s your thoughts on the 1.4 tsi timing chain problem? It has done 200 000km and doesn’t rattle, good sign or too high mileage? Or is a well serviced engine the key to not have that problem?

A well serviced engine is key to keep that engine healthy however the Mk5 1.4 TSI twincharged do have many many problems if anything I would suggest the slight slower version which only has a turbo (the same as mine but in a Mk5 golf)

So do garages just have 3” or basically every size pipe lying around for when people come in and ask for a back box delete to connect to two pipes back together

If the garage is known for exhaust work then they'll have the common sizes around so 2-3 inch pipes in small lengths so it's not common but it not ultra rare either

Go to RJ performance in Birmingham or DKU performance in Walsall and ask them for a backbox delete. Mention that you've come from the channel and they should sort u out with it

Yeah it'll sound similar it'll just look a bit odd as it won't have anything where the exhaust cut out in the rear bumper is

you'd need to roll the car a bit and the put the clutch down and then rev it

Nope. You're either revving it out more which is something you'd do because u wanna hear it so it makes sense or you've got a different issue. The backbox delete won't reduce the pressure enough to cause a difference if anything it'll improve the fuel consumption. If you get a straight pipe or change the cat then you'll see a difference but other than that you wont
