yet another rifle that you dont dare buttstroke anybody with if needed. when did it come to pass that it wouldn't still be necessary to have a weapon if you run out of ammo? the logic behind that really pisses me off. short of that it looks like a sweet shooter. I'm old and half crippled I'm not running or bugging out anywhere. and that time is at hand,, I'm holding my ground and want the best chances i got to do that, and flimsy ''civilian'' ARs are made of balsa wood, and I looked believe me. not ok. 500$ and up later and the first time you have to grill smash and aggressor it folds up like a curtain rod,,,, that is messed up!!! I'm starting to think the only way to go is to make the fuck'n things from raw stock my damn self,, to my way of thinking there should not be one piece of plastic on a rifle unless it is the most durable plastic on the planet. if it is plastic I better be able to drive nails with it and should handily deal with orbit reentry,, far as i can tell that doesn't exist, polymer pistols not a problem but not on the weapon I'm trying to keep me and mine alive with..... anyone that says hand to hand fighting with a rifle is not likely anymore is someone I don't trust. miserable as my old ass is I refuse to die without stacking a decent body count first at the very least. Does anyone feel me on that? I mean no one wants to get grey matter on their rifle but if the need arises....

We had a blow out on our fifth wheel in Iowa City last summer and while waiting to have it taken care of, we stopped at Sheels next door. I was very impressed with their gun department, ammo selection and overall! If I'm not mistaken, Colt SMG mags are also double-stack double-feed, which makes them much easier to load and are considered more reliable. When I got my MP5 clone, I realized how much faster and easier it is to load those kinds of mags, and the reliability I've had with the mags for it has been fantastic.

Yep double feed mags are more reliable, the only real reason pistols still mostly use single feed is because you need a pretty big slide to accommodate a double feed, check out the steyr GB for an example

You are not mistaken. In my opinion, the colt mags are a mags are a huge improvement over glock mags. I wish more companies would use them or standardize on something like the B&T mags at a minimum.

I love mine, only thing I changed was stock, I went with old school m16a2 stock, cleaning kit . I use iron sights only.

The reason they used Colt SMG mags (which are just slightly modified UZI mags, which you can modify yourself at home by making a small cut in the UZI mag to adapt to a Colt SMG style), is because they run much more reliably and have better lockup in a PCC than Glock mags. The "linear compensator" is just a blast can to direct sound away from the shooter, making it easier to shoot in indoor environments. This was the best option in my opinion because a 9mm PCC doesn't really benefit much from a flash suppressor, or a muzzle break. For the money, this seems to be one of the best AR style PCC's, particulary for the reasons above, as well as having a dedicated lower design vs a standard AR lower with a standard AR Magwell.

I only paid about $1000 for my Saint Victor 556. I still wish you’d get a different one and give it another chance. Don’t know what was wrong with your’s, but mine doesn’t care what I feed it and and has been 100% reliable.

I just bought one last month. I really wanted a Banshee, but I lost my patience waiting on the pistol brace crap. It is exactly what I need for home defense in a small house in a high crime urban area. First impressions were not that great though. I had 6 failures in the first 200 rounds. Magazine fell out while shooting twice. Bolt locked to the rear with rounds still in the mag twice. One stove pipe. And it shoved a live round straight up into the top of the receiver once. I was pissed, but I have it another chance and the second trip to the range was flawless. I'm tentatively chalking it up to a break in period. Overall I love this gun. Super fun to shoot. It consistently puts 10 rounds in a 2 inch hole at 25 yards. This is now my go to home defense weapon.

It's going to take a lot from any manufacturer to convince me that one of the greatest one two punches in the world for my lifestyle in the mountainous, river infested state to deviate from my Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS and Ruger 19122 PCC. Snowmobiling, fly fishing, camping, hiking I can take both of them.with relative ease. They use the same ammo and same mags which means I can easily pack 10 mags of different capacities. I really believe there is a huge opportunity for manufacturers to create integrated flexible handgun/PCC combinations.

Colt pattern/Uzi derivative mags are tough and work great when made by a quality manufacturer. Good choice by SA.

I also think the stick mags, make this gun look nicer too. This model would be nice with an 11.5" barrel. If the current model sells well. And the brace issues is resolved...in favor of the gun industry. I think we'll see shorter barrel lengths.

I've loved having my Saint 9mm PCC. It shoots smooth and functions flawlessly. The stock Colt mags work perfectly, but I did have an issue with the aftermarket ProMag drum magazine - the drum only works if the BCG is in the locked open position when inserting. Other than that it's a great addition to the collection.

I have a RRA 9mm PCC ( standard frame w mag block ). A couple of points- Stick with Colt or similar magazines. Plastic mags will eventually split. Maintenance is key- unless SA has changed the rear geometry of the bolt, the bottom corner hitting the hammer puts an enormous strain on the hammer pin. Ive broken several and subsequently wallered out the hammer pin holes. I used a rotary tool and files and ramped off the corner and installed a CMC trigger cassette to save my SBR'd frame. The bolt catch gets beaten pretty hard as well when it locks on an empty mag. Again, Ive broken and replaced several. Buffer springs...yup, you will go through those as well. Essentially, the blow-back is beating itself to death. On the positives, the fun factor is out the roof. Shooting / training is much cheaper than 556 and you can use it on pistol caliber only ranges. The velocity gains in a 16" barrel with 9mm ammo are marginal at best. There just isnt enough powder to make the gas pressure to fill the tube. My 11.5 " with my duty ammo was only 8% faster over a Beretta 92. However, more ammo on board an easier to shoot platform that is less hearing detrimental than a pistol does create a serious defensive tool should the need arrive.

Finding with just finishing my own AR-9 10.5" 9mm PCC/PDW build, they get heavy fast. Even sticking with minimalist features and light weight components, sitting at 6lbs 7.9oz with no attachments. Waiting on Holosun AEMS Core to arrive tomorrow then will get a better overall weight with all the attachments (Magpul handstop, Streamlight TLR-RM2, M-LOK panel covers).

Ive found the Colt SMG mags to be very reliable, easy to find, and reasonably priced. The thing I dont like about the Colt mags? Loading that 32 rounder past about 20 rounds without a Maglula is painful. My mags are a mix of Metalform, PSA and ASC and all work well. Seating on a full 32 rounds with the bolt forward can be rough, but they are steel and a durable enough to be used as a weapon on their own, so no need to worry about breaking them.

I purchased mine two days ago, waiting for it to be delivered to my FFL. It has a rebate currently good with MFG. until January 31, 2024. Thus IMO, it is a great buy for a mid-priced PCC. Money was not the issue; however I did not need a high priced JP-5 competition or a Wilson Combat PCC. The colt metal magazine is tried and true, all else is typical AR-15 style furniture. I expect reliability and the flat trigger should be great right out of the box. Oh, and the bolt carrier stays open after the last round, a plus and the aluminum sites are another plus. Bought through Bud's, got the cash price, added shipping insurance, and got free shipping from Bud's. CmmG RESOLUTE is about $500 to $700 more and it was my second choice (price depends on the MK17 or MKG models).

Okay, now I forget where/what I posted before but I got the same Saint Victor PCC, and (with the exception of the CA compliant crap) I like it pretty well as I of course do with my 5.56 Saint Victor. It’s a better, easier mod than the PCC. Have the same configs, but the ‘mag release’ part with the Juggernaut leaves a lot to be desired. Thanks for the great posts you do. A good to know thing about colt smg mags is that there based on uzi mags. A simple dremmel square cut in the proper location and your off to the races! Only negative is that you get no bolt hold open. I still have a pile of converted ones and at the time they were super available and cheap. So many made I feel sure they are still readily available

Honestly this rifle interests me as a "House" gun, 147+p out of a 16" is a hitter for a "handgun" and the linear comp and long barrel 9mm is quiet for an unsuppressed "handgun"

I just finished building my fx-9 and really enjoy it after upgrading and tuning the buffer system. I would imagine this gun would respond the same. It reduced felt recoil by at least 50%.

concept: 9mm blackout you run an 8" 9mm PCC with a suppressor put in 50gr Civil Defense Liberty (which costs a measly $2 per round) and you should be around 2400 FPS and get hydrostatic shock like a "real" rifle put in 147 gr and you should be subsonic

Heavy has its benefits. My RUGER PC chassis carbine is HEAVY too but it mitigates recoil even more than the muzzle brake. I've put well over $300. into internal and external upgrades and (IMHO) I've got the best PCC sight with my HOLOSUN AEMS circle/dot sight. Now I'm ready for Steel Challenge competition.

@@gregr3283 This firearm check mark in the Fun Box. Not all firearm's have to have a designated purpose per se. Just could be fun to have and plink with. I would love to see this model with a 10" to 12" barrel. The brace issue should be resolve soon. I believe it's going to go against us. And then the decision will be turned around in the courts. Would much easier to just get rid of those stupid laws, i.e., SBR's, Suppressors, etc. Anti-gunners never cared about safety of the people. It's always been about control of the people.

You forgot to mention that the colt magazines are a pain to load manually. Cant use a Maglula to load it but the ETS loader works well with it. The trigger is actually lot heavier than the springfield armory victor 556
