Love your vids. In these times, zoning out with something just _pleasant_ works wonders on the blood pressure. When we throw peanuts out in the a.m., all the squirrels in our near neighborhood come by. I've designated one "the efficiency squirrel" because he or she always takes two peanuts away to next door to eat them. We also now have an "efficiency bluejay" who also has learned to stuff his beak with two peanuts (in the shell, yet!) before flying off.

*I realize peanuts are not the best thing for squirrels,* but I got a bag, a big bag, and thought I'd dish them out a little at a time. I knew I had a Blue Jay couple living across the street, but I had no idea what would come. I put some peanuts (in shell) out on the walk in front of my window. More than a dozen Blue Jays found their way there. At one time, I had five Blue Jays lined up on the window sill (it is a very large window), and they _waited in line!_ They patiently waited as the one in front of them got their nut and left. It was amazing to see. I'm sure the squirrels were like, "Why? Why, Robert!?"

I have to tell you that when my six year old Grandson was here all last week for Thanksgiving, I asked him to help me feed the squirrels. We took out two plates of nuts, one with shells and one without. I put a chair at the window and he watched and waited. Well it took about one minute for the squirrels to start arriving and I asked him what their names would be! He named them all, Jersey, Fence, Cat Food, Fruit Loop and Mouse. Mouse was a tiny little Douglas Squirrel. We can tell Fruit Loop as he always chases the other squirrels away! I have continued to use these names since my Grandson went home but I haven't seen Mouse back at the daily nuts! Lol, Such fun! Thank you for giving us all such wonderful squirrel content!

I sometimes wonder how many of the neighborhood squirrels don't come up to your window. It must take a certain curiosity at what the other squirrels are going up there for, and some bravery to approach the giant guarding the buffet of nuts, to go up there at all.
