Unfortunately, starlink never came to my country... It sound wired but I found alternative using roaming. I have 40-50 ms ping because it is going over different country... and it is slightly cheaper than starlink. A Little bit smaller speeds than starlink but you can move with you in whole country having internet in pocket. Still better than north Korea....

I'm surprised that the Rural Canadian deal has not been even talked about. Currently Starlink offers the hardware for $199 CAD (that's like $150 USDl+ S&H. For a large selected Rural area. It's been on for at least 2 months now... You only need to put in your address to find out. It's one heck of a deal.

I have this rural Canadian deal. Ordered it and got it delivered in the same week and in a few hours mounting it on the roof and software installation. It is variable in terms of data download rate but it is 10X faster than my old internet and considering I have literally in the forest outside of any city with no cable etc. I am happy as can be!

I had the $110 a month with Portability @ $25 for a total of $135. I thought I might get rid of portability, but the starlink web doesn't allow you to get rid of portability. It wants you to select the base plan of $120 a month. I ask support if I could have them do it, remove portability and leave me at $110 a month and if they couldn't just leave it the way it is now. Well I should have known. Starlink support stated if i removed portability i couldn't get it back. Oh, they also increased my base amount to $120 a month. Now I pay $145. I feel like the little bird that fell outa the tree in winter was dumped on by a cow and started squawking and then was ate by a wolf. I really enjoy your channel. Thanks J

I received an upgrade letter from Starlink stating that I now have standard plan at no extra cost. In April my bill went from $110/m to $120/m. So I wrote to the solutions address and was told to open a Service Ticket. I did so and attached a copy of the upgrade letter. I even ask the fee to be set back to 110/m to which they replied with the increase was not due to the upgrade but new price plans across the board and they closed the ticket! What a bummer! Anyway, I have Standard Plan at our cabin and getting speeds of 100+ down and 12-25 up. So far so good! I am happy with the results now and looking forward to the 2.0 satellites going up in the future! Thank you Joe for all you do! Ken

I got my starlink back in November i got the RV plan with mobile access with unlimited data, im a commercial fisherman and work around the dry tortugas 70 miles from home here in key west so i started taking it with me on my boat and it worked like a champ!! Then around febuary maybe they sent an email about a price increase from 135$-150$ a month!! Still all good still used it home and on the ocean!! Then around mid april got a message that it was basically being used in areas that arnt covered in my plan and was recommended to give up my current unlimited plan for the mobile priority for 50mb at an increased price of 250$ a month!! WTF!! I didnt do so and i kept my plan and i went on my boat and it got service to about 24 miles from home and cut me off!! Im a fisherman i stay out for 6 days at a time and was using it mainly to keep in touch with my 3 kids and family while im out there im not a billionaire sailing the open ocean for pleasure i cant afford 5,000$ a month and 50mb is a joke especially when i was getting unlimited service perfect for almost 5 months before they just decided to change everything and try n force me to get a new plan or pretty much work to pay a wifi bill!! Im really dissapointed and frustrated that they have no plan for the commercial boats like myself or just personal crafts bc unless your a billionaire or a cruise ship no one can afford the amount they want to charge and theyre charging just bc they can bc if it worked before that means it cost no more and isnt any special satellites for marine application!! So now i have a starlink that serves no good purpose for me anymore and they offer nothing to compensate people like myself thats actually reasonable n feasible to pay for to have a way to communicate home its unfair and idk how they are allowed to just do this to people after theyve already been in service to just change it with no reason or reasonable option in exchange!! Is there anything i can do about this??

Starlink works out to $48.62 per month here in Cebu , Philippines, much cheaper than America, but I have 150 Mbps up and down fiber for $32 here. The only way starlink would make sense financially would be if I were out in the countryside where fiber is not available. In the countryside it would be worth it for the speed. I am in the city and I do not have a clear view of the sky here.

I still disagree for being charged more for less area availability. We should all be at the same price. It’s not our fault for availability. Isn’t availability based on how many Satellites they place in our area? Or other? Why are we being penalized?

Dang.. When I first pre-ordered (like 3 years ago) it was a $99 deposit with a promise of a $99/month service and $499 kit fee. It just keeps going up and up and up. I really wanted Starlink but now I am not sure as new 4g LTE internet services are in my area for less than half of the Starlink price and speeds that are 50-60 download, 5-10 upload (currently using with little to no issues) I am stuck on the fence here now with accepting my order (that I would've bought on a dime if it had become available long ago) I also do not expect a satellite space internet to have better ping or lower latency than on ground services when it comes to competitive gaming (CoD, Fortnite, Apex Legends) but I could be wrong. Any comments appreciated!

What should I do? I own a recreational sailing vessel Small World III, and I’m retired and have been sailing for three years. I signed up for Starlink with $100 deposit several years ago and when it came due I requested mobile service and was told it was not available and I was refunded my original deposit. May 2023 while in the Dominican republic I signed up again and was promptly sent a mobile Starlink system. Life was good. We then moved the vessel towards Florida, and the system worked reasonably well in motion until we got within 200 miles of Florida. I received the non-compliance email. At that point I had no choice but to sign up for priority mobile expecting to pay $250 a month as we intended to cross the Atlantic to the Mediterranean and needed a backup to our pactor modem and SSB radio for weather reports. With taxes and tariffs imposed by the Dominican republic. The actual cost was $325 a month. Upon reaching Tangier, Morocco, on the continent of Africa, I promptly discontinued the service has it exceeds my monthly budget. We intend to cruise towards turkey through the Mediterranean with many stops in many ports. Looking for recommendations as what to do to continue the starling service, at a more affordable price. Any reasonable recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

That’s a hard one. Mobile can get expensive if you use to much data. But. If you don’t it should be fine. Also. You could change you service when in dock if you will be there for a few weeks / month because SpaceX allows you to change your plan anytime now.

Mr. Cristina, some of my friends WANT a new Starlink plan, such as - (something) simply based upon usage. Nothing complex, just pay for whatever data is used. If a month goes by when folks are away, and there is no use - then there is no payment due. If a month or months exist with a lot of data usage, then they pay for that data. I have submitted this thought to Starlink and they responded with a comment that they are always adding/introducing new plans and that my thought of a simple pay-per-use plan would be considered. I have no connection to Starlink or to Elon - I'm just an old university professor, retired and aged. For me: I'm happy to have my current plan, but perhaps there are millions of folks out there who just want to pay for the equipment, and be charged per usage. Your channel is of value to me: your opinion makes me think and consider options. Isn't this what informed folks want? I think so. I do not always agree with your thoughts, but I enjoy the commentary. Adobe should have acknowledged your commentary, and accepted the right to discussion - attacking you was stupid. Your commentary did not sway me to leave Adobe: I use it. Adobe attacking you for expressing/elucidating alternatives and personal thoughts - sours me on Adobe executives, but I still use Adobe. Come on Adobe - lighten up! Nothing is forever: change is inevitable. Adobe is great, but in time, another better service will surface. If Adobe is reading this commentary, do the right thing and financially compensate Mr. Cristina: be kind - be human. Mr. Cristina expressed an opinion - it didn't change me - I use Adobe, but Adobe could take the high road and send Mr. Cristina an apology and some financial compensation. Mr. Cristina is a good fellow: it's a good channel.

@@jcristina Mr. Cristina, I have learned that it's all about the dollar, and as one episode of 'Kung Fu,' master Po once said to Caine - expect the unexpected. You are correct - Adobe, will not do the right thing now - they didn't do the right thing from day one, which was to embrace your comments - as discussion which is allowed under our Constitution. I have also learned, that sometimes, gifts will fall upon us: always with respect to you, buy a lottery ticket - who knows, GOD, fate, or time - may choose to compensate you for the pain, suffering, and hardship which you have endured. If I were a wealthy man, I'd send you $1 million to help, but perhaps the gods of time will choose to help out with a nice lottery win. This would not change the past, but it may make your life a little less stressful. We probably will never meet to share a coffee and some conversation, but you are an asset to KZbin and to America. Thank you.

I recently purchased the Starlink Mobile Regional Plan. $150/mo. My speeds at my residence are in the range of 10Mbs down 5 up. I am in a semi rural area. I haven't tried it RVing yet but I am very disappointed my speeds are so low and unstable. I need to use for work and wanted better than cell service while out remotely where cell service is bad or nothing. I was hoping to replace my cable service so I could use this home and remote. It’s not your country it’s your continent! The North American Continent includes Canada, the US, and the Caribbean with exception of Grenada and The ABC ISLANDS. The question is if I leave Fort Lauderdale and go to Bimini, will I need the ocean coverage for those 59 miles during the crossing. On the coverage map, it’s hard to determine if the Bahamas has coverage but the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico definitely do. If I’m running up the East Coast of the US, how far off the coast will be considered land not ocean. I have the $150 dollar plan and it’s definition has changed at least 3 times since I purchased my flat antenna!

It's my understanding that it's the government that won't allow a static IP address if you move. It gets tied back to adds, and TV. I stream TV, and can only use KZbinTV, because you can tell them your location, where the other streaming services use your IP address, which for me is Chicago, but I live in MI. This is a problem. But, you have to thank your government and the protectionism policies for TV, and adds.

I was looking at the plans a week ago and (was on standard and loving it) when my cat jump on the desk and clicked activate on thr mobile plan and i have been hating it ever since. Love starlink, opened a ticket 5 mins after and still waiting . Would consider moving to mobile priority just to get good service again, but 250 is alot for bad service after the 50 Gb.

Love your videos! I just got the Starlink Business (BIG dish) and it came with another cable: ethernet on one end and a Starlink connector on the other. Of course, there are no instructions. Can I plug the Starlink connector end to the power box (network out side) and the ethernet end into my switch, totally bypassing the Starlink router using my own mesh wifi system?

Lepel works doesn't seem to have the frequency range the boom mic has though. Still wondering though if this comment from Starlink was this just click bait "While SpaceX is not charging customers for the full price of the terminals so far, Shotwell said the company expects the cost to come down to “the few hundred dollar range within the next year or two.”/2021/04/06/ and the no plans to offer tiered service.

Wow! Your knowledge of the content, ability to organize and present it in an understandable way, is very impressive. Thanks as always for keeping us posted. I have a standard residential service high in the Sierra Nevada Mts, and we are about as rural as it gets. However, we are on the CA side of the border so are in what Starlink considers High Use area. Our speeds are very good and average 100+ down, 10+ up and 37 latency. We are very happy with our service but as a retired couple would absolutely upgrade to a mobile service. At $200/month, it seems like a great value if it actually performs to their stated standards. I guess I’ll buy an RV first though. 🤣👍🏼 Thanks again, yours is quickly becoming one of my favorite channels on YT. Great job!

So as usual Starlink keeps changing. That is good or is it? You do know that if Elon decides to end Starlink all he would have to do is let the satilites just burn up and not replace them If you look at the rate they burn up each month in low orbit, it wouldn't take a year before there would be nothing up there left. Kind of a interesting theory to have to constantly replace the satilites . 56 went up today. Unless they come up with some way to make these birds last a lot longer in space low orbit. No wonder they are charging so much for equipment and services. Constant loss of equipment. make you wonder right?
