Franchement ce volant est tellement plus beau que l'ancien, ça valait le coup de remplacer, il fait plus typé "années 80"

Great video on how to remove the airbag steering wheel. The new VSW steering wheel looks very nice. It's a perfect fit for your black t-top.

WOW! What a really cool steering wheel you got there, MotorScotti. I love it! It really looks like it came straight from the factory along with your car and it kinda reminds me of the round stunt wheel that was used by the stunt drivers during the filming of Knight Rider. Have you ever thought of adding the Knight logo on the centre horn button? That would be a nice touch and a great homage to KITT. Also, how's the KITT dashboard coming along?
@MotorScotti Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I'm really enjoying it. It's a different driving experience now. The KITT dashboard is making slow progress. Way slower than I ever planned but that's life.
@muhammadnaim418 Жыл бұрын
@@MotorScotti Ah, don't worry about it. I have a feeling it's gonna look pretty awesome when it's finally finished and installed in your car. If I were you, I would just leave the stock dashboard alone and use the KITT dash to create myself a Knight Rider driving/racing simulator. That would be something totally unique and away from the norm. What do you think?
@MotorScotti Жыл бұрын
@@muhammadnaim418 Absolutely, that idea has crossed my mind, as well. As you may know, I love the factory dash and it's probably more enjoyable to drive the car as it is now, rather than with all of the KITT dashboard and consoles. Let's see. I'll make the call when it's done and test fitted in the car.
@muhammadnaim418 Жыл бұрын
@@MotorScotti Really? What a coincidence! I have a feeling you might say that. I mean, even Joe Huth from the Knight Rider Historians admitted that he prefers driving a regular Trans Am with the stock dashboard over an actual KITT car with the Knight Rider dashboard. Anyway, thank you very much for keeping me notified on your progress. I really appreciate it. Until next time, drive safely and best wishes. 😉

Funny that you have to do a « crashtest » with the new bumper materials, but removing a safety feature like an airbag is no problem. In Belgium removing an airbag is not allowed.
@MotorScotti2 ай бұрын
@@msb12i The bumper material has to be broken to test it for the way it breaks, meaning seeing whether it breaks up with lots of splinters or not (pedestrian safety). Removing the airbag is only possible because the previous model years of this generation Firebird was built without an airbag.

Awesome video - what kind of shifter is that?
@MotorScotti11 ай бұрын
Thanks! The gear shifter is an 82 Trans Am replica. Check out my KITT playlists. There's a video for everything I've done with details in the respective descriptions.

@MotorScotti good for me for what? Did you watch the video? He talks about how to remove the air bag and then proceeds to tell you how he removed it in a recent video. There will be a test after class!🫡

@@phoqueewe7230 Who is "he"? You mean me? Yes, I removed the airbag in a previous video because I needed to remove the steering wheel to replace the turn signal return springs as explained and linked in the video and video description. The point is to not show the entire procedure in detail because I already have done so in a different video and revered to it in this video. 😃
