Oh boy! A cliffhanger episode. Can't wait to see that new piece of equipment you left us hanging about. That 450 is nice and has decent power. I imagine those leaves you were blowing have been laying there for a while absorbing moisture and getting compacted. No problem moving them at all. The extra warranty for the investment of a pack of oil is a no-brainer too. Good info.

Thanks for watching. Cliffhanger 🤣 I got it filmed last week and will be editing it by weeks end. It's going to blow your mind. Yes, those leaves were from the Bradford pear from last November. The 450 lifted them with no problem. I do hope I get my echo back, that will give me two blowers this coming fall.

I just bought the BR450. I researched the Stihl models and per the manual there was the BR450C with electric start but is not listed in the 2024 catalog. Apparently Stihl discontinued it. Maybe a slow seller or problematic electric start. The only model that can be started with it on your back now with a side pull cord is the BR800C-E for $700 US. Also, my dealer offered the Stihl 2.6oz oil 6 pack for $14 good for 6 gallons worth of gas. Buying the oil at the same time as buying the blower doubles the factory warranty. The dealer set it up for me, started it and also filled the tank at not extra charge. In the 2024 catalog Stihl has it as an incentive that if you buy the 6 pack of oil or 1 gallon of the premix fuel, the factory warranty is doubled from 2 to 4 years which is a no-brainer being you will need to oil. I read in the manual that Stihl recommends Mid Grade octane(89 octane). That is what I bought and mixed in 1 of the 2.6oz Stihl oil bottles. I use a 1 gallon gas can so I don't have the gas hanging around a long time. I also use Ethanol Shield additive. So far with 2 weeks, it works fine and I plan to use it weekly for fall leaf blowing into the woods behind my property. Also plan to use it during spring and summer for blowing lawn clippings that have accumulated after mowing. I plan to take care of it the best I can. This is my first backpack blower and went with Stihl.

WOW! What an awesome comment. Thank you so much for your support. No, we all had a sinus bug. Nate seem.to pop a fever whenever his body is fighting something. It lasted only a few hours but thanks for the well wishes.

awsome back pack blower. lord willing i hope i can get one this year. i was going to last year but ended up buy ing a new ztr mower twice. yeah OUCH. im looking at the echo blower but i might look at the Husqvarna a bit more to since i have a ztr Husqvarna z254f ZTR mower to match it. i like stihl products to. i have a stihl trimmer and its a BEAST.

Thanks for watching. Whatever you buy blower wise, DO NOT buy from a big box store. There is zero dealer support. Go to an authorized dealer. Echo blowers are my preferred choice just because they're stronger. I wasn't looking to buy this blower for quite some time but that plan got changed. I'm happy with my purchase. Best of success in whatever direction you decide to go.
