Thanks for the vid! Tried this hot potato yesterday, didn't much like it. The thing doesn't quite do enough with the heat you sustain, and you're too reliant on good RNG with this type of flak (I first killed the 2nd boss with the Marauder, though, so flak in general I don't mind). Very fiddly to play, so you're relying on getting your better draws.

When I took this one out, I struggled with survivability. When I finally got to a build with a loop that was working, I had already spent so many credits repairing that I struggled to upgrade. Really wish there were more options for repair or for temporary HP within combat.

In the version I'm playing, I can take the modules out of the equipment. You just have to drag and drop precisely and put it back into the cargo bay. So you could have kept the dynamo and had both in your new shield.

This series has been so much fun! Question: are you allowed to spend more time on each map? I was thinking maybe stay at one dock and complete all the missions nearby to fill out your deck. I don't know if that's possible, though.

Nope, you can cross laterally across the map from one side to another, but you can’t go backwards, so if you miss your turn, you miss things. That was one of the things that distinguishes For The Warp from this.

Actually, you can go backwards if you follow a yellow line; these don't have direction restriction like the blue line does. So if you have enough fuel, you can cross to the other half of the map and when you eventually run out, take a blue line from way farther out, on the other side of the map, than you could normally. They implemented a rising fuel price at Space Stations in a recent patch, so that it cost more and more as you buy some. So it might still be a strategy, but keep in mind that the fights scales up every 4 fights (I think) so while you're exploring for longer time, all you'll come across are almost Elite-level enemy ships in every fight until you have to finally fight the boss. So, you better be good to tank all that first! :)

@Baradul What does "Starship and Equipment Maintenance" mean on the Starbase? Maybe you can change Cards and Upgrades there?

You can add and/or remove 1 card for 25 credits each. Can be really helpful if you realize that 1 card is just diluting your deck. And you can remove or install a AI core.

No, it is not. Strategic part is very similar, but battle mechanics is totally different.

@@hf4040 I'd recommending looking up FTL gameplay. It's quite notably different. There are a *lot* of differences alongside a few similarities. I'd say there's a good chance you'd enjoy FTL as well, but it's worth looking into it before you give it a shot, because it's not 1:1
