I love my Onn Box, it was cheap but works absolutely fine. At present I am using it with a computer monitor to view my surveillance camera feeds. I will definitely be buying the new version when it comes out.

I like the current Onn box. The only things I don't like are (1) the lack of a pause button on the remote and (2) the weird cable layout with the ethernet cable on one end of the box and the HDMI cable on the other. Also, I'd like a remote control with buttons that light up when you lift it. The Xfinity Flex remote does that. My Flex device was awful, but I loved the backlit remote.

I have the onn tv box after about 8 months the remote disconnects from the box. Solved this problem with a otg cable and a mini keyboard and mouse. Hope this version doesn't have the same problem

I have three Firesticks and the ONN box. I do like the ONN but due to a recent move I inadvertently put it in long term storage and currently using my Firestick 4K max. My only concern with the ONN is that it got quite warm while using it. I did add an OTA cable and extra thumb drive but don’t know if that contributed to the ONN being quite warm. I add 128G drive to all my ONN client boxes and they never get warm. That was one of the more impressive things about it. Wonder if your's may have had an issue.

The ONN boxes from Walmart are available in Europe now but are rebranded as Dynalink due to name rights. The firmware and hardware is identical

I have that Walmart box. Overrated despite how smooth it runs. You can hook up an external hard drive but it'll disappear after a day and you'll have to reactivate that drive, each and every TIME!! You can run K@&i but that build better be the smallest ever, or just use add-ons. The box is cool but that first generation box is just not that great for the reasons I listed. If you ONLY WANT the basics without adding anything extra, OK then it might work👀

Had the Onn Box but the remote stopped working and i was no longer able to connect to the internet so i went with Chromecast with Google Tv, but it now appears that the remote for Chromecast with Google Tv isn't working properly for even GENERAL use. Can u help?

Try changing your router's Wi-Fi channel if you use 2.4 ghz wi-fi. Or switch to 5 ghz wi-fi if your router offers it. Some 2.4 ghz wi-fi signals can interfere with Bluetooth devices like headphones or remotes. Or try swapping the remotes. Pair your Chromecast remote with the Onn box and the Onn remote with the Chromecast. Test your remotes while standing close to the device, keep the streaming device as far from the TV as the HDMI cable will let you, and of course, check your batteries. 🙂

Just turn off the Onn box if you’ve set it up, hold down Home and Back at the same time on the remote, then open the Remote Pairing menu in the Chromecast’s settings. After it appears on the list, use your current remote to select it, and then the “Onn Remote” will work to control the Chromecast.

The Onn HDMI stick probably isn't very good, but the table-top box is pretty nice. I have one. It's as good as the Fire TV stick and T-Mobile's "Tvision" box, and better than Xfinity's Flex box.
