Thank you, Dr. Ruscio. Your channel is an invaluable resource for me in my long struggle with digestive issues. I really appreciate your dedication, accuracy as well as calm and well-structured presentation of the information. Even simply listening to you is grounding and reassuring. I’ve been dealing with IBS, GERD and gallbladder problems (polyp, sludge, inflection) for many years. Sadly, none of the many doctors I’ve worked with had the comprehensive approach like yours, and I’m still far from unraveling the tangle of my health problems. But your work gives me hope. Watching you from a different and much more troublesome part of the world, I want to thank you for openly sharing your knowledge and empowering people like me to improve their health. I hope to see you cover more topics related to gallbladder and stomach health, just as you’ve helped me understand my gut. Keep up your great job!

Candibactin BR and oregano oil for most of a very dark year got me to where I could eat without torment. Still very limited and occasionally underweight but not in torment stage. Low histamine was key for me. Probiotics were a nightmare even “no histamine” ones. My reaction to them were so bad I will probably never try them again. Cinnamon was definitely a no. Thank God for candibactin br, oregano oil, and loads of necessary fasting. I cheer everyone on in their own journey to heal.

Good Information. Recovering from a SIBO attack as we speak. Why add Glutamine? What is the benefit?
@exosproudmamabear5585 ай бұрын
Changes to what you need truth be told. If you got sibo because of inflamation(such as autoimmune disorders covid etc )dont take it it helps brain to produce more glutamate causing more immune system activation and inflamation. But if you have leaky gut and immune deficiency it will help protection gut lining and increase your immune system

I have two part questions 1- at what point of time do we take probiotics while we are going through the remedy’s of killing sibo ? 2-do you have any information for the reason why would pancreatic enzyme become super low to were you start having bad pain while eating when you have sibo? I’m treating as we speak on refaxmine and oregano oil and had done protein diet two weeks prior to hit it with antibiotics. Still on protein and one vegetable every two days.i love your video to add more herbs. I just not sure at what point I can introduce probiotics, does it have to be specific to the probiotic and the video just those two strands because I have custom probiotic made with 11 strengths that does have those two in it or OK to use ?thank you so much

I think of there is a regression of sibo then weight has a lot to do with it or other environmental factors. But from my experience there could be an issue with low ileocecal valve pressure.

I have histamine intolerance most likely as a result of SIBO. My guess is to add in probiotics after doing anti microbials for some time, and not too early?
@DrRuscioDC5 ай бұрын
It’s usually okay to take probiotics and antimicrobials simultaneously (spacing them out by a few hours at least), but “repopulating” with probiotics after your course of antimicrobials is generally helpful too. You probably already know this, but I’d recommend supplements over probiotic foods if you’re histamine intolerant - most supplements should be tolerable, though

Also, my liver function is weak, I found out that, my stool is floating and fat are not digested. Also, I can't digest vegetables, It came out as it was eaten. Also, I have continuous pain in lower abdomen and lower back and rectal tenesmus. I am doing IF 16:8, eating 2 meals a day. Avoiding fibers and taking rifaximin 550 once per day. It seems working but really slowly. What can I add more to maximize my recovery?

@exosproudmamabear5585 ай бұрын
I think glutamine shouldnt be used by everyone. It is precursor of glutamate if you have mcas,histamine intolerance or inflamation it will cause issues. Especially for long covid patients and autoimmune disorders it should be aproached carefully. Dame for those herbs some of them boosts immune systems and cause inflamation soyou should choose carefully what to take if you have more than one issue to tackle.
@alanacreates5 ай бұрын
question about reintroducing foods... is that really recommended if SIBO symptoms have not resolved yet? wouldn't that cause a flare-up? I've been low fodmap & low histamine with probiotic therapy for +/- 3 months. Added Glutamine 2 months ago. All symptoms have reduced occurrences at reduced severity... but certainly not gone. At a loss of what to do next...
@alanacreates5 ай бұрын
and does your answer change depending on type of SIBO or type of test? Breathe test with Lactulose showed Methogenic SIBO, which I hear is the harder one to get rid of, and easiest to relapse.

My daughter is doing much better, and here I'm talking about her weight and improved muscle mass mostly. Her maintenance plan, no matter her symptoms, always now includes a 50m probiotic blend, which includes vitamins B6 and 12, D3, 1.3 beta-glucans, vit C, A, E, D3, Folic acid, Zinc AAC, Selenium AAC, Ferrous fumerate, Biotin, an enzyme blend, garlic powder, elderberry extract and echinacea extract. I had her on MSM for two weeks, us both, but I'm not sure about what improvements we are supposed to be looking out for. Therefore, we have stopped. Occasionally, I put her on extra vitamin D3 with dolomite, near her periods. She does not complain about period pains that much anymore. So, one can say that she has the average amount of discomfort girls encounter during that time. Her acne is the most recurrent theme, so using that as a SIBO positive cue, SIBO is still active, but she loves Kit Kat types of chocolates, especially near her periods, so, having too many of them before her periods really flares her acne. Curcumin and tea tree oil calms it down again. I've been doing a Himalayan salt rub with coconut oil on her body, too, especially on her back and shoulders with a wonderful effect. I'm doing it on my arms too, and now they are smooth and silky, too. No more rashes on the back of my arms, so my SIBO has calmed down, too. I still have a bad reaction to gluten in the form of reflux, but we both handle it better now. I still am scared to eat it, though. 👻 Cognitively, I still have a slight decline in functioning where it feels like I have a Jiffy Wrapped brain a day or two after eating it. 😮😊
