You are so kind on how you phrase "please don't eat this". I love that you don't say "DON'T DO IT" because out of human nature, that's just hard to accept. Especially because people around me don't seem to care or be affected by eating these foods, and I always become so sad I, alone, have to say no. It's very hard. But listening to you I can actually feel myself realize why impulse eating is terrible for me and that I should be more resilient. Thank you so much!

An important note about tap water filters: Most tap water filters do not filter out much or any bacteria, fungi, or other things you want to remove out of the water when you've got gut issues. Tap water filters reduce the minerals in the water, which usually isn't an issue unless they're in very high amounts, though it does make the water taste better. Unless you're paying $300 for a home reverse osmosis filter on your counter top, if you suspect tap water is an issue, buy bottled water.

Some advice for people who successfully heal their gut and want to reintroduce gluten dairy etc into their diet, be careful what kinds of products you use For example: if you go back to the commercially produced mainstream wheat, then you will start to have problems again due to the chemicals they use in production such as glyphosate, pesticides etc, which will harm the gut again and get you back on the cycle of having to heal your gut again. If you notice people who can’t normally eat too much wheat in the US go to Europe and they eat pasta bread etc and they don’t feel the negative side effects they normally do due to the difference in European production. Try to stick to minimally process organic products. Also avoid tap water because it has chlorine in it which is obviously not healthy for the gut microbiome. Edit just saw that he mentioned the tap water in the video at the end, 👍

I live in France and even organic grains including oats and quinoa are lethal. You're just even worse off in the USA with the added glyphosate. But there's plenty in Europe too! It's a myth that people are healthy here and can eat junk grains and dairy at will!

Great response! A couple of years ago I went total wheat free and reintroduced meat back into my diet - my brain fog, my CRS (can't remember shit), my confusion & bad mood went away in 6 weeks PLUS about 40 lbs went away too. I would eat wheat products rarely and was okay, kept losing weight, but the minute I ate wheat frequently, half the weight came back and so did the confusion & CRS

I have celiac and just finished my round of Xifaxan for SIBO. Really surprised me that within three days I was feeling more energetic and had less brain fog and splatter diarrhea. I also lost 8 pounds in the first six days. Started my probiotic today and trying to eat low FODMAP. I do not drink and avoid gluten like it is poison so do not understand my having SIBO. Oh, well, hoping I am doing the right things now.

Really a BIG help .with an IBS flare up that has taken almost two weeks to get to the beginning of normalcy. I am on the low FODMAP, and can see where I've eaten many of the high FODMAP foods previously that could have caused my SIBO. I really feel confident about this healing process and the ability to get back to a norm. I really appreciate your stressing moderation in a diet, so social life isn't harmed and diet variety is possible. I'm a new sub and look very forward to more of your videos.Thank You.

Absolutely agree with the reference to gluten and lactose,as i now cannot tolerate gluten however i have improved my gut microbiom and now can tolarate low lactose items like cheese and yoghurt, too nervous to try milk! Because ive been gluten intolerant for sooo long (30 years) and was unaware, i don't think i will ever be able to tolareate it again. But then not eating bread, pasta etc keeps me super thin!!

I wish you could do a lesson on how Gabapentin (for a back injury, been on it about 6 years now) causes health issues. I have gut health issues, low iron, dry mouth, mental health issues like depression, brain fog. I was in great health before the injury. I have lots of nerve damage. I have gained 85 lbs since starting this medicine. It does help with nerve pain but I want an all natural alternative. I weaned down, with the help of my new doctor, from 1,200 my 3x/day for 4.5 years to 300 mg 3x/ day. Yesterday I removed one dose a day. Withdraw is dangerous and has been rough. I’m glad I found your channel. I was put on an Rx to reduce stomach acid because of acid reflux last week. I stopped it two days ago b/c it made my bones hurt and muscle aches. I ordered the beating hydrochloride yesterday to try instead. For a month now I wake up every day with a bad headache. My body is not feeling able to digest my food, especially meats so a month ago I went vegetarian as an experiment. I’m at the end of my patience with all this. I have much stress and have been trying to avoid stressors as much as possible. I wish I lived near you and could be your patient. Thanks for your very helpful videos!

Great video, thanks for the advice. You really have a great insight and knowledge of this ailment, you got another subsciber today. I'm trying to beat my sporiasis / leaky gut by limiting my foods to grass fed beef fish and shellfish , free range eggs, free from bacon and free range chicken and turkey. As for vegies, beets , brussel sprouts ,spinach, asparagus, broccoli , carrots red onions and various mushrooms . No alcohol, no smoking marijuana or anything. Exercise and weight lifting every day makes my anxiety lessen. I sill have some but it's getting better. I might try taking out some vegies like the broccoli and asparagus . It's only been 2 months so far . I also take supplements like ashwaganda and ton kat ali and all my vitamins including 30000 IU of D3 . omega 3, A,E, Oregano oil too.

I absolutely agree with your comments regarding alcohol. I have a very clear limit so far as my stomach is concerned. Half a bottle of red wine makes no difference to my stomach, over that limit and it gets worse. A bottle of wine or more leads to guaranteed diiorrhea. I have done this several times and noted the result and sems to be beyond coincidence. So Ihave a natural barrier to my drinking.

I am so glad that you brought up the research on dairy and gluten, because of the way people act you would think the whole world can’t eat these foods. I even did a research into Genetics and when it came to dairy at the most 50% don’t have the dna to digest lactose but the other 50% do. And I happen to be in the tolerant 50% and as far as gluten goes absolutely thank you so much for bringing that up because wheat does not bother me at all. It might be a carbohydrate, but it doesn’t bother me if anything my Gut likes it.

WHO (World Health Organization) released a 200 page assessment why they no longer recommend artificial sweeteners, citing microbiome studies in much of it. I didn’t see any conclusive studies on them except for too much stevia seems to be bad for the liver. But there are studies on Barley malt syrup, honey, and molasses promote a healthy gut microbiome so stick to those at home.

Great video. I've had gut issues for years and make my own kefir drinks that help. I find many websites contradict what is a low fodmap food so that's not good. Also I'd have to give the kefir drinks a miss maybe for now?

I’ve been eating pretty healthy my whole life and about three months ago I noticed my stomach wasn’t digesting the food I was eating because I had no bowel movements for three days. Symptoms worsened over time as I adjusted my diet until I limited it to four foods and still, three months later I’ve noticed little difference in my symptoms. I’ve been eating low fodmap foods since the original flair up and had several doctors visits, no one knows what it is but I’m 98% sure it’s leaky gut. What foods can I eat to promote gut health and microbiome?

Good information, but until we the people address the REAL problem underlying all of these food problems, I won't feel too hopeful. Our natural wheat has been hybridized five times since World War Two until the gluten strength is now off the charts, not to mention all of the nutrients have been processed out of it. Meat and poultry are being poisoned with lousy feed and pharmaceuticals like hormones and antibiotics which affect everything including all dairy. Pesticides and GMOs across the board in fruits and vegetables. We people now have to pay triple to try and get something called "organic" Try feeding a family this way. I'm in my mid 70s and sure didn't grow up this way, and never saw any of these gut/food problems in anyone, nor allergies in children. Until the real source of all of this is addressed, these issues will only get worse.

I think once you develop leaky gut you’re more susceptible to parasites, as people with leaky gut tend to have low stomach acid. The stomach acid is what kills the parasites before they can cause damage. Leaky gut can be caused by various things such as but not limited to - stress, highly processed diet, high carb diet, concussion.

Dr D'Adamo has a book called eating for your blood type. That might be a good place to start your research on this issue. I must add that I find that eating organic European grown foods I find are most easily digested. We are still suffering from the Monsanto poisoning if only a few years ago. I also drink alkalized spring water I draw from a local source. I live in a remote area in Ontario Canada. When I lived in and drank Toronto water I was getting sicker and sicker. I had to move to a healthier environment.
