I only have 2 kids and younger one is 5 years old and still have this problem. Can you do a video for women to strenthen their muscles down there so we can actually not pee ourselves when jumping. No joke, this is seriously annoying. Changing leggings and wearing a pad just to do a simple skipping excercises. I know you are dudes, but a nice video would help a few mothers.

I just started jumping. I am mostly looking to improve my footwork for Pickleball (though additional overall fitness, weight loss, and toning up would be great as well!). I asked a former college softball coach (who has AMAZING footwork!!) what was the best way to improve footwork... She said JUMP ROPE. So I started looking into it and of course ran into your channel. I initially purchased a 1lb rope since I am a beginner and everything I was reading said weighted ropes were easier.... My friend who suggested jumping saw me using the weighted rope and said she didn't feel a heavy rope would be what I wanted for footwork. Thoughts? Will my footwork/agility improve better with a speed rope? Or are the weighted ropes just as good? If so, what weight would you recommend? I am able to complete your 15 min workouts without too much difficulty with the 1 lb weighted rope with just the regular bounce (trying to learn new steps but right now that is the easiest for me to complete 15 min). Would appreciate any insight! THANKS!

1/2 pound rope is a great place for a total newb to get started and FEEL the rhythm of the rope. Once you can control the rope, you'll want a 1/4 pound rope to really start working on your footwork.

Hi! I already commented on one of your video. Im really confused and excited about choosing a crossrope that is perfect for my height, weight, and physique.. My goal is to build lean muscle. My height is around 5'5" (or 5'4") and weighs about 125 to 127 lbs. My body type is ectomorph so I'm on the thin or slim side. What lenght and weight of crossrope can you suggest me buying? Thank you so much!
@JumpRopeDudes
@JumpRopeDudes 4 жыл бұрын
Hi there! If you are 5’4” you fall into the Small sizing. Crossrope always recommends sizing down when in between sizes so small would be the way to go. The majority of community members who buy a get lean set, eventually want to buy the get strong set and visa versa. Instead of ordering just one set you can save by bundling the two sets and buying The Get Fit Set - this is a way better deal because you can save $40 off your order with code SWEAT40. what's the best weight rope to use? 2lb 3lb 4lb 5lb 8lb etc...
@marlinking7078
@marlinking7078 2 жыл бұрын
The 1lb will have you sweating the 2lb will make you moon people if your drawstring is not tightened well on your torso. The lighter ropes you need for speed like running. The heavy rope IS WHAT you use for endurance that will tighten up so many muscles. You will breathe better, your core will be tighter, your shoulder and forearms will be on fire, and when you circuit train with other exercises: you won't run out of breath as fast. THE ROPES are worth IT! The switching of the rope weights help you vary your intensity like going hard and resting. The heavy ropes will activate your inner beast to tame the force...that's what make them awesome.

@darkirby 4 жыл бұрын
If you're starting out, the rotation of the rope could be enough force causing your grip(forearms) to be worked. it very much could be a possibility you're gripping too tightly! next time you jump, try to pay more attention to how hard you're holding on!

What is the difference between a weighted rope vs. weighted handles?
@JumpRopeDudes
@JumpRopeDudes 4 жыл бұрын
Marco D'Alessio - with a crossrope, the weight is in the rope. it creates centripetal force that engages your whole body. weighted handles will tax your shoulders, but won't generate the same resistance a weighted rope.
@marlinking7078
@marlinking7078 2 жыл бұрын
When you jump with the weighted CrossRopes, the weight being in the rope will automatic center you, prompting you to unconsciously to be balanced when jumping. Your fight will be with staying in the middle, which activates your inner beast to control and dominate your balancing act and coordination. The ropes are a bit unpredictable in motion when engaging for form and finesse.

Does it make a difference that I use a jump-rope that is itself weighted or just wear a couple of weight bags on ankles or body while jumping ?
@williambaumert7726
@williambaumert7726 4 жыл бұрын
If the rope is weighted it's going to be much more demanding on your upper body. If you use ankle weights it's going to be harder on your calves. Personally I don't jump with ankle weights just because they increase the force of impact so if you miss-step you will probably get injured and you can do double unders to work your calves

@@williambaumert7726 Well,seems about right. Either way gotta buy anoter rope I guess. Thanks for the answer, happy jumpin'

GY - centripetal force (weighted rope) is much different than the weight added to your body through ankle weights. A weighted rope will challenge your body from many different angles as you skip while not really increasing your impact (read: won't increase the risk of knee, ankle, foot injury). Adding weight will make jumping more difficult, but it won't make your back/arms/shoulders/core challenge.. it will also increase your risk of injury.

It improved external rotation at 60 degrees abduction. How is this helpful for volleyball? Very dubious.

A 2 pound rope would be pretty heavy if you're just starting out!

I got back into jumping a few days ago. How long would you recommend sticking with a speed rope, before moving onto a heavy rope? Or should I just get the heavy rope and incorporate it with my speed rope routine?
