This is awesome. I was reading so much about neurotoxicity and how food we eat may impact our brain....

Please keep in mind the likelihood of confounding factors when looking at observational data. For example, mycotoxins were associated with autism, but this could be because people with autism have impaired methylation which could also make it more difficult to effectively detoxify the mycotoxins they are exposed to. After all, it’s not as though people haven’t been exposed to mold for millennia (really for as long as we’ve had to choose between eating moldy food or no food, and as long as we’ve been building homes in rainy areas) whereas autism rates at their current levels are a recent phenomenon. I highly suspect the relevance of mold illness in the human population is multifactorial, and while yes at least partially increasing due to the combination of indoor plumbing and very airtight housing, I suspect exposure to other toxins are indirectly to blame for weakening our detoxification capacity

The cognitive effects of mold are horrible. I'm watching your other videos now. Are papers like these helping reach a wider audience?
