Reading this game's dialogue just made me realize: PETA made a game for kids that talks about animal abuse, torture, slaughter and cruelty in the most nonchalant way possible. Some of the chicks even say that there's a less torturing way to slaughter chicken that should be used instead. I get that the message itself isn't a bad one, but like... did these guys even look at the public they were aiming towards with this game?? It's kids, not adults who would actually get a firmer grip on the message and judge it accordingly. And at the end of the day, this is little more than propaganda aimed towards the completely wrong demographic, with bias in the way they both tell and show the message. Well, at least they have a "kid-friendly game" option lol - the original game didn't. And heh, well, I guess I thought I was too cool for that (I saw the blood and thought it was ketchup pretending to be blood lol) but uh, the joke was on me - I was the one who had to watch the mid-game advertisement...

Why does it feel like the guys at PETA actually tried to make a decent game here? The flow of the gameplay is not bad, the grahical presentation is very decent (specially for a flash game), the controls are relatively well made, there's original soundtrack and SFX (even if relatively mediocre), tutorials and hell there are even a few secrets here and there to find. All of that for bullshit PETA propaganda just feels like a waste of talent.

I played the game back then, when the bonus video was available. The video showcased pictures and images of chickens in slaughterhouses, alongside the same spiel they say on every level. They were rather graphic, from what I remember. Definitely not the kinda stuff you'd be showing to kids. But, y'know, PETA being PETA.
