Thanks Alex, great tutorial as always. what happened to your heating? you look dressed for the cold :DDD
@MrAlexTech4 жыл бұрын
Alot of people ask this! I was raised without central heating so it's just in my nature to put more layers on rather than put the heating on. Plus, this house actually only has a few radiators none of which are upstairs so it's always a bit chilly in winter. I like it though, I'm happiest in a big hoody and a beanie hat 😆😆

Yes.... I created a lot of virtual choir videos using Da Vinci for Video and a combo of Ableton Live and Studio One for Audio Mixing and Mastering.... Works really well... Just make sure that you convert the individual clips to a lower resolution if you have too many clips to be handled.... Or use the disable option in the timeline to disable all the other clips and enable only the clip that you are working with... This reduces the load on the system drastically....

I can confirm this makes virtual choirs a lot easier! Such a better work-flow than resizing and transforming every video into place.

Thanks Alex for the Video, just one important thing: When using the collage this way, be sure to define your collage properties (tile size, border color etc...) BEFORE copying the collage properties to your other tracks, because after that step you have multiple independent collages - with every collage using only one tile. If you want to change properties afterwards - for example border color of the tiles - you have to do this separately in every collage (or copy properties again and re-assign tile numbers). Small hint that might avoid much work afterwards ;-)

Using tiles (instead of background) is also "long winded" if you have a lot of clips, especially if you want to change the settings as you prototype. They both have their disadvantages and is one option really the best choice for all situations? I haven't found that to be true. Using "tiles" is best if all your clips have Dynamic Zoom. Using "background" is good when using clips that aren't otherwise animated. Be careful pasting every clip attribute like that, since things like speed changes will be copied over.

Good video explaining how to use. Can you create this as an index screen so when you click on Video it open to full screen then when done back to split screen. thanks
@Dandelion-324 жыл бұрын
I like how you make sure something goes "wrong", so you can show how to fix it. Here, I'm thinking of the first video clip that didn't have the same ration. One question about that. Could you change the yellow colour to transparent, so you don't have to zoom the video to get rid of it? I've been waiting for my licens for weeks now. You know, Blackmagic created this circus where you don't get your licens before the speed editor arives, if you ordered the package. And they appear to be very slow at delivering the speed editors, so people have to go for months waiting for their licenses too.
