New Super Mario Adventures - Comic Dub (READ THE DESCRIPTION)

-BEFORE YOU ASK "WHEN'S PART 2?!" OR "WHY WON'T YOU MAKE MORE?!"-
Sadly, New Super Mario Adventures ended fairly early into its run (they never even finished Issue 02). The main reason for this is because the comic's author, Danny8Bit, couldn't afford to continue commissioning the artists to help him continue the story.

Since I've been on a roll with getting dubs up lately, I decided to put together an admittedly spur-of-the-moment dub over New Super Mario Adventures, the high quality Mario fan comic created by Danny8Bit, JamesmanTheRegenold, and EarthGwee (the latter two I happen to be good friends with)
It's a classic tale that I'm sure we all remember. Two plumbers, a princess, and a fire breathing turtle intertwined in a web of destiny. This story features the plumber brothers first encounter with Bowser's forces, before finally meeting the big brute himself. What will happen? Watch (or read) for yourself.

Beautifully done! -Voices were great -Epic and charming at the same time -Character development is apparent and is not just them smiling all day screaming yahoo: -Mario has a determination to him that really justifies and can get into "Why" he's a hero -Luigi is not "Just" scared all the time, he's clever, has finesse, and can be the straightman of the bros. -Peach seems like a badass trying to be "princess-like" -Toad Is a badass, and Original compared to the other mushroom retainers -Toadsworth is not just freaking out, and is collected, him and Luigi seem like they'd get along -Bowser seems cool af -The enemies seem like they'll put up a good fight I know it Sounds like there's complications with the staff, but if you guys figure out a way, I'm rooting for you! Super Mario Bros. is an Epic Story, and I respect all that see it that way

Would've been nice if the comic had kept going, but I believe it was short-lived. My favorite thing about it is that it effectively gives the Super Mario Brothers a proper origin story that makes coherant sense with the modern Mario games which most expanded Mario media fails to do so. Had the comic of continued, it would of been great to see them explore the stories of all the main series Mario games all the way from the NES titles to World, 64, Sunshine, Galaxy, etc. They would of done a rad job at adapting those stories too.

Much like SMBZ... it just starts getting super good and promising, and then suddenly everybody dies and stops working on it. Though last year I heard the creator of SMBZ made a reboot of the first episode.

Well, when I said "died" I meant "fell off the face of the earth and stopped working on the project". not "stopped living". Also- AGAIN?! That's twice now the SMBZ got canned... Now I almost with that the creator would just give a script or plot synopses so that other people can make the spritework.. At least, I would THINK that would take less work.

Hmm... I understand what he means, even if I never had those issues myself. Personally, I think it was probably a bad idea for him to release the reboot episode so quickly, before he got his life together. He should've gotten himself a job, house, and essentially all the needs an adult... NEEDS before even thinking of bringing SMBZ back.

From what I've heard, the Super Mario Adventures comic will be the inspiration for developing the story in Illumination's upcoming animated film, but I'm hoping they'll shape up the script with this quality.
