New super Mario Bros DS is really creative. It introduces most of the new mechanics and goes with good game play which is why I truly think it is the best one but I like NSMB 2 as well.

I was one of the few who grew up on the Wii U and 3DS so those NSMB games are the most nostalgic to me. So in terms of nostalgia, those are my favourite. But my favourite NSMB game ((removing the nostalgia factor) would have to be the first. I love all the vivid colours and the music. Without the original, I would have never made the fond memories of my entire family sitting on the couch and playing NSMB U on the Wii U or playing NSMB 2 on the 3DS while driving to Whistler BC.
