Chopsy makes me smile again! 45 yrs ago (whew!) I spent 3 mos in England in a college program from Ball State Univ in Muncie, Indiana, USA. My girl (and now wife) rented a Mini (the British Leyland version!) and had a ball on some of the same roads I watched you ride in this video. At 21 yrs old I was just old enough at the time to rent a car and I missed having my bike at the time, a '73 Honda 450 Scrambler, there to ride on those roads. We also drove all over Wales and had a ball! Beautiful scenery, great roads and a fantastic visit it was!

Suzuki just know how to make a beautifully smooth motor and gearbox. I must admit, I wasn’t immediately excited when I clocked it at the bike show, as it all looked rather plastic. I do love the screen, map integration and cruise control.

I've seen other reviews of this bike , launch ones I think , and all those reviewers praised it . Suzuki have hit the sweet spot I think with this one it seems . GT or Sports tourers are the best all-round bike IMHO , if you can only afford 1 bike or only got space at home for just 1 then this is the way to go . And those little neg niggles would be because A) your size and B) you weren't 100% used to the bike , stuff you would adapt the bike for or just get used to over time with use . Make a good cop bike or other emergency services . Good real world review Chopsy nice one .

Cheers from Alaska chops, spot on review as always. I have 2000 miles on my GT so far, great bike along with its stablemate MT-10. They complement each other perfectly for the type of ride I want. MT if I want to get rowdy and the GT if I want mellower but can still do the business in the twists. Running a S22r Bridge in a 55 rear profile. Helps turn in and gears it up a bit. SBS RST compound front brake pads will be on it asap which are supposed to be night and day from stockers. Made a huge difference on my MT.

Built to a budget but superb value. Comparing its brakes, IMU etc to much more expensive bikes is perhaps harsh but absolutely right to point out where costs have been saved. 👍

I've been riding for over 40 years and have never owned a bike with a fairing. I have had a go on a few mates bikes and found them really uncomfortable and to be honest they all look the same to me, no character but they were all full on sports bikes. As I approach 60 I think maybe I should revisit with a sports tourer. This could be my first step into the fairing bike world. I have owned quite a few Suzuki's and always found them very good and reliable.

Cracking review Chops… Gotta say that it’s on my list of try outs this year, well priced, we’ll equipped and cracking performance. My only criticism after having a good look round it at the shows, is the build quality of things like the pegs, levers etc… looks budgety! But then at £12500ish I suppose it is made to a budget!
