For you guys upset about the cost. Do not worry. We will get some mass produced Chinese made ones later this year. They will be really crappy steel and not as nice looking. But at least you will be able to afford it. I know you guys don’t mind taking money from an American craftsman and putting into a communist hand.

I have the Benchmade that he shows first. He actually shows the practice version that is red. I live in California and it is illegal to carry the double-edged version, so I put a single edge on the red practice blade and it looks beautiful and holds a nice razor-sharp edge. I came to this video because I make knives and I am researching karambit designs. Great video.

In case anyone was wondering they’re $349 for the normal version and $400 for the special edition. Very cool design just far out of my price range unfortunately.
@realkingofcream80396 жыл бұрын
That is a nice piece. I really like the look of that urban sniper especially. That price though is a little much. If I bought any more of the BSS gear I might have to go looking for trouble to make it worth it.

Received my T.U.S.K. Karambit - Thank you. I must keep it real and state. My Kydex sheath is a weak grab on my belt. I have a concern or worry of losing my T.U.S.K. Or it falling from my belt. Also do to the cocktail feathers the slit that allows kydex pull, also makes for a less than what I expected snap, or lock into place. In your video, your Sheath appears to operate better. The T.U.S.K. Itself is Awesome; wish I had a kydex sheath I could trust for my T.U.S.K Karambit.
@johnnyleegarciajr89466 жыл бұрын
Also, I’m a lean dude. When you bend down to pick something up does your T.U.S.K. Kydex Sheath come half off of your belt. Mine does. Ughhhh....
@johnnyleegarciajr89466 жыл бұрын
A rig this Nice; you shouldn’t have to rig; but I got a solution to my Belt retention problem with my T.U.S.K. Kydex sheath: I’m going to zip tie down the belt clip and slide my sheath on and off of my belt; as the quick clip is dollar store weak. Still wish the kydex snap, lock in was more solid; although I understand the cocktail feather design causes this issue. Yellow Hawk- Probably, although at my T.U.S.K. Price tag- I shouldn’t have to. But for this to be a EDC - which for me is the plan, my reason for purchase. I must insure my home for my knife is of proper retention; so if I need it, it’s there.

Why is longer close combat weapons usually illegal. It's like I want to keep someone at a bit of a distance so why everything good you can used extremely small. I get it's less damage if it small well depending but I'd rather keep someone back a bit

After taking a good look with zoom through the quick view of this product there is noticeable crude or rough cut on the teeth. It appears to be slag from CNC cutting. Would you please explain what this is as I am interested but concerned with the quality of the fabrication, especially at this price point. It's the Urban Survival blade on the top barbs. It's most noticeable in the seventh picture with zoom. Thank You, Don

You should make one without the teeth on the back. Those will only snag on clothing and other things and work against a defense (I've seen it happen when messing around with other knives that have teeth like that). You don't want a knife to "hook" into things unless you want to lose it (and the ring will work against you in that particular situation and possibly break your finger). IMO there is no reason for barbs like that other than looking "cool," ancientness notwithstanding. I do appreciate you, though, brother. Keep up the good fight.
@BlackScoutSurvival3 жыл бұрын
Yes dummmmmy. The purpose is to snag clothing. If you knew kali, you’d know the reasons. The teeth are from the original Malaysian. The people who invented and actually fought with them.

The tang looks very familiar to me.
@BlackScoutSurvival6 жыл бұрын
Don’t be afraid. Clarify
@shanewink32586 жыл бұрын
No fear here. The tang is very close to my DUKE and too the 1200 JX4’s that bear my name produced by bark river. I designed the DUKE in early 2000 to aid in weapon retention after a night of defensive tactics with the local sheriff dept. I know from seeing the tang on the TUSK that it is very comfortable. Great minds think alike and it’s not surprising others come up with similar shapes since that is where we interface with the blade.
@shanewink32586 жыл бұрын
I did straighten the blade and rigged a drop sheath to ride in between my duty belt with just the oversized ring showing so I could deploy with off hand and not drag the tip through my gear
@BlackScoutSurvival6 жыл бұрын
I apologize I’m not familiar with your work. I actually took this design from an ancient photo I saw in a book. I gave it to wenger and he made it a reality. Possibly he saw your work. I’m not sure. He’s more versed in knife making than I am though
@shanewink32586 жыл бұрын
No please don’t misunderstand. I am not saying anyone copied it. I am saying it’s so close to mine that I know it will be a very comfortable tang. I have not made a DUKE in years and don’t really advertise. I am a fan of your channel so keep up the work.

Fantastic can’t keep them in stock. That’s why we increased the price and they are still moving. Just because some are lazy people who are broke doesn’t mean everyone is. Some people hard workers who make good financial decisions and can afforded the finer things.

Very, very, VERY cool design. It's a bit salty for me presently so I'll likely not order one, but I will tell those who may be interested in a karambit knife about it. Good luck and thank you for the video and product. BTW I was notified on KZbin about this video but noticed when viewing that the bell wasn't on. It may have been switched off, and not by me. Just letting you know.

@wjf2136 жыл бұрын
That's very well thought out design, not to mention it looks like a VERY hard knife to build. I buy a lot of custom knives and this is well worth the price even just to add to my collection. I mean I'm not into knife fighting, but then again I'm not into gun fighting either, but that doesn't stop me from carrying just in case. Are you going to offer training blades in your design? Also, are you going to maybe do weekly training videos and drills using your design? Just a thought. Keep up the great work.
@BlackScoutSurvival6 жыл бұрын
Haha. That is funny but true. So yes. In the future we will have trainers. And yes on our tribe (paid membership) we will be offering video instruction. Basic. However our urban Scout class at our location is ring blade intensive.

Take it or leave it. But your combative knife should NEVER be on your back. Should be in front wear both hands can access. If you get taken to the ground on your back you won’t be able to retrieve your knife.
