@@anidiot4801 It's a bit too grindy and basic. Metal Slug Reloaded is basically just a better battlecats. It's super grindy, but the graphics are so much better and the gameplay has a lot more depth. It used to be a microtransaction game but now it's just a pay once game. If you like battlecats i'd check it out.

Looks fun. I always like tactical RPGs. It's kind of a cursed genre though, cause for some reason they like to be dropping support after a while.

As long as they release some modding tools it will be fine, imagine the possibilities. They could add every enemy from metal slug eventually and then start adding characters from King Of fighter, Contra, Final Fantasy, oh man he possibilities. Could even add some binding of isaac mechanics why not?

It's not bad. Though somewhat overwhelming w tutorial. I definitely missed some things. The tutorial notes are insanely small print and hard to read. The cross fire (bonus damage) is interesting but sometimes difficult to pull off. The AI randomly generates different stages, enemies. You might get 7 or you might get 20 enemies surrounding you.

It has some bugs and yeah it can feel overwhelming at first, there's a lot of keywords and nuance to any effect in the game but once you get the basics it's pretty easy to learn everything. Once you figure out the optimal playstyle (always move as much as you can, abuse sync attacks as much as possible and burst down bosses as fast as you can at least on lower difficulties) it's pretty great

I HIGHLY recommend using reshade and adding a crt/scanline filter. It looks so much better. I used fakelottes and got rid of the curvature and changed the scanline type to 1 so it's only horizontal lines, the text was a bit hard to read with the grid setting but it looks perfect the way I have it set up. It looks incredible with reshade.

They already made 7+ of those. It isn't supposed to be a run n gun, it accomplished it's goal of being a tactical roguelike.
