NEW Tavern 4 STRATEGY! | Hearthstone Battlegrounds

To win with this strategy you need the following: Get the Quest reward Splitting Scroll and have both Elementals and Demons in. The Quest shouldn't be hard to achieve otherwise you will fall behind too much. Then, find a Land Lubber, Recycling Wraith, Living Azerite and preferably Soul Rewinder. It shouldn't be very hard from there as the next part is basically forcing. Buy Tavern spells that let you discover battlecries, the Brann Tavern spell and trigger battlecry Tavern spell. Find a Peckish Feldrake and just keep on triggering Tavern spells. That way you will start buffing your shop with Living Azerite and once your shop is big enough, start triggering Pekish Feldrake's battlecry to eat the large Elementals. Make sure to keep your economy going with Tavern Tempest and other economy minions. This may be one of the hardest strategies to steer but if you get a hang on it, you will secure yourself a win.

@@LostSoulNaMing I'm not even sure that lubber is OP at tier 4, but why feldrake? It's not like you can always get into a position where you have tons of tavern buffs to scale feldrake a lot, and without tavern buffs feldrake isnt that special. Seems fair to me, comparable to many tribes minions which can have some power with quick pieces here and there but with the right synergies can feel 'busted'

Hey! I was the hooktusk that got second this game! Thought I was easily gonna run away with the lobby since I high rolled the double deathrattle quest into beasts. Saw what I was up against third to last fight, didn’t find pieces to improve my board, and couldn’t tech given what was in the lobby so just gave up that last fight lol Quick note: At 0:21 my starting unit was frontdrake. The two clear options are hold everything or hold nothing. On turn 3, I’m likely playing surf n turf to save health so might as well play it turn 2 and thus should play the demon too. I’m a hooktusk as well so I’m ok with saving health/throwing around damage turns 2/3 cause I can always hero power minions for quest completion. Hence, the value of holding goes down and IMO is not worth the health loss especially for a minion like surf n turf. My quest ended up being attack 18 times as you can see.

You could also pick Faceless when discovering battlecries. The finding a Felboar or Cultist is probably better than the bit of extra attack you are getting buying undead buffing battlecry.

I love that people talking about lubber here lubber there and that. One card needed a nerf, and not a fking buff, and its the fel drake. It needed to be at least tier 5. Or reduce minions eaten to two. Or just increase the scam minions in demon/drake lobbies. So fun how this comp loses to a simple 3/3 well placed

Wow crying about feldrake is a new low 😂 a card that only truly works if you buff the tavern somehow, and that has no special abilities on its own. It is no different than a Choral or any other card that is just a stat stick. But this lobby had no murlocs, and none of these 16k players even tried going for a bramblewitch or a matador. Like, if Jeef scaled regular elementals he would have won all the same, feldrake is not the problem here lol

Heroes with bad abilities get higher armor to compensate, as well as easier conditions to fulfill to complete quests. Since quests are very strong right now, a high armor hero, and thus quests that can be fulfilled more easily, is a strong choice.
