A good teacher is one who helps all and not the so called star pupils..massive credit to him which hundreds of other teachers out there can learn from.

Just amazing!! I loved watching this video. I'm so happy that your observation was good and your students started to see that you care. Again, amazing!

It was super cute to see his ninth graders have his back during his observation. I remember my first year....I can relate to this whole video. Lol. It DOES get better if you really want to be a good teacher.

The behaviour of students does link to Home life, undoubtedly. If people have a stable home life they are significantly better behaved and engaged at school. I come from an area where everyone is well off; not posh, but no one struggles, and you’d never see behaviour, like this, on such a large scale.

Harry Ward I would actually argue the opposite. From what I’ve seen those who have the highest motivation to work (therefore focus the most in class) are the students who come from poorer and more unstable backgrounds. The richer and more spoilt children just f about because they see no consequences.

New Me while I wouldn’t necessarily disagree, my argument is more about how wealthier students have a more stable home life, as opposed to poorer students who may only have one parent, or parents that aren’t as enthusiastic about their child’s education.

perhaps, but in my classes(set 1 and 2) everyone is rich and doesn't care about failing. the range of grades is 9-1.

It kills me to see how ungrateful these kids are when they have such a great and inspiring teacher. They’re literally killing his motivation for his job.
