I really felt it the next day, especially in the back ribs and the shoulder blade (just opposite to where I worked). And 2 days after it was all gone, fantastic technique, today I tried it again and did also the back side of the armpit, clutching the arm pit and the back and that felt really good. Thanks so much again for everything 🌸💕🌸

Initial palpating showed the area was dense, tight with one or two lumps. (Olive size). Also had that line of radiating tension down the arm. After shearing, the area is significantly looser & more relaxed...and feels so good. I’ll see how my arm, chest blood circulation responds. Although I distinctly feel that I haven’t yet discovered the main blockages causing my circulation problems. This is a great way to explore! (My trapezius are super tight, and the latissimus is tender). Thanks so much!

4 years later, did you find any method that did help? after a injury on heavy benchpress over a year ago ive not been able to stretch my body, so i got the symptoms you are describing, if you have any info please share it, have a nice day :)
@Snowystardust12
@Snowystardust12 3 ай бұрын
@@M-Maxentius my issues were not caused by an injury, so I’m not sure this will be of help for you. But what has helped me is feeling the incorrect placement and movements of my neck and shoulders. Incorrect is: neck and shoulders rolling forward, and the shoulders lift up toward the ears. The shoulder joint compresses toward the spine, instead of opening wide out to the sides. The neck is sort of cramped upward into the base of the skull. This is all typical tension for that area, but _feeling_ this up and forward _movement_ is key. The movement is a thing in itself, a gesture, a personal expression/activity we’re engaging in. It’s like an energetic part of us. So for me the key has been to take that energetic/gestural part of me and give it a new way of expressing, a new way of moving. The new way is the shoulders round toward the back, over the scapulas, down the back ribs to the hips, (this will automatically engage the abs) and the neck flows down the spine and out to the trapezius. The back of the ears also need to integrate and flow down with the trapezius. The shoulder joint needs to feel wide going far out to sides. I do this together with fascia release. Fascia release was not enough for me. The problem is getting much better for me, but if I stop being mindful, I quickly revert to to the old habits. I hope you find your way to healing from that injury. All the best! PS. If you want to know more about the movement/gesture part of it, I learned it from the Spacial Dynamics Institute. They don’t have any instruction videos posted online, only live trainings and courses, some of which are online.

I tried this and was super sore from just palpating. Then got that pulling sensation from stretching backwards, so I did that while moving then released. The second time it was barely feel-able and by the third time i had to really stretch to get it :) I've been suffering from SUPEr bad chronic migraines which i'm sure is complicated by Hashimoto's disease for years and so far nothing the doctors has done has helped. I'm trying to help my body work better with what little physicality i'm up for, and your vids make sense to me. I did the abdominal fascia release 2 days ago and am working my way up rn.

Thank you. This is exactly what I needed today. Coincidentally, I did this on a soft ball on the ground by laying face down and rolling my body onto it. I also use a peanut on the traps and shoulder too. But I like your recommendation to pitch the muscle/facial tissue and then rotate the arm. That was a nice tip that helped.Thanks again.

You're welcome Orlando, thanks for watching! I have another technique demo on this channel for doing the chest from the ground on a ball, which is super effective but NOT for this particular part of the chest (at least for me). Hey there - since I'm not a doctor and I don't know more about you and your body, I never like to give advice online. I always encourage you to try my techniques and if it EVER feels unsafe, please stop. But you'll have to make the decision yourself whether it feels risky or not. If you know you don't have any other health issues then I don't see why you can't try this. Again - please follow your own instincts. But also based on what you're describing, I'd take a look at my video for lats and rear deltoid, or middle back pain (even though you didn't say middle back pain, these are the areas I would check if you were coming to me in person).

Wow. Woe. Yikes! But in a good way. This was intense to do. Challenging indeed, (I have a G cup- thank you Cushing's) so this is the first I've been able to try getting into this area. It felt so intense but I got through it on both sides. Could feel it all the way down to my thumb. Neurapathy, shoulder issues, posture issues in upper body have been awful since I developed this (buffalo) hump... you can look up how the body changes when steroids trigger Cushings Syndrome to understand my issues. Basically is upper body weight gain & trunk weight. I used to be a figure 8. Now my body is just crazy looking. In any case, my shoulder, rotator cuff & arm on my Right side are a constant issue. Adhesion!! I found an incredible adhesion! Thank you for helping me dig around in there today. It hurts but like I did a workout. I could feel that area say "thank you." After a 3 day migraine, I woke up today feeling fresh & loose. I did my daily exercises & release moves... Then I literally "clunked" my way into this fresh video. So I'm passing along my body's gratitude. It's the first I've been able to work that area effectively. I'll update after doing it (every other day) this week.

Yay, I'm so glad to hear about that lightness! Isn't that a wonderful feeling? What your body needs will be unique to you. Healthy fascia doesn't hurt, so once it stops during to release, you can consider the fascia there healthy and you'll need to release it less frequently. You can do any fascia release daily, as long as you're not getting sore.

I walk down to my neighborhood park where there is a children's jungle gym. I simply grab onto an overhead monkey bar with one hand and grab my pec's with the other, as you do in your demonstration. Then, while keeping the same grip on the bar, by slowly turning my body I can explore the entire under-arm muscle groups and release any adhesion's. It's hard to explain, but once you grab onto the overhead bar, you'll understand what I'm saying. And keep in mind that there are dozens of ways to stretch most any part of your body on those jungle gyms (especially your arms and legs).
@ElishaCeleste
@ElishaCeleste 5 жыл бұрын
Parks are awesome, we use them for hanging too! You definitely won't get as much fascia release if you hang first, then grab the tissue (since it's already getting stretched), but I LOVE what you're going for here!
@spreadingrumors
@spreadingrumors 5 жыл бұрын
@@ElishaCeleste Yes, my method is definitely Not meant for fascia release. But more for finding and releasing adhesion's. For tough fascia release from old injuries, I use an electric percussion massager. First, I apply a heating pad to the area. When the tissue is all warmed up, I roll my percussion massager over the area and then stretch and hand massage it. I keep heat on the area until I feel it's all released and back to normal again. The beauty of the massager is that it; breaks up adhesions, vigorously stimulates the nerves and increases blood flow to the area which is critical to healing. Just remember, it will reduce muscle mass and eliminate fat in the area. So, if you try this, be aware that you may find even more adhesions and muscle injury damage you didn't know, or forgot you had. If so, be prepared to do some weight training to regain the muscle mass you lose. Good luck!
