The vehicle would draw a lot less attention if Tesla forgot about the camouflage. A new light bar is a minor detail that many wouldn't notice, and many would think it was just an aftermarket mod.

The question is, what is the light bar for? I have a theory: The light bar is for indication of Fully Autonomous vehicles running in the Robotaxi fleet. I feel like the cars will have a certain color on the light bar, showing people that it is running autonomously. I believe they will probably show this off at the event on the 10th. That has been one of my gripes. There is no good way to let other vehicles know that the car is in autonomous mode. I believe this is the only way this will work with non robotaxi teslas driving autonomously. I also wouldn’t be surprised if these teslas are testing hardware 5/AI5

The model 3 is going to get the updated taillight bar like the model y. When the model y first came out, it received the refreshed interior and then it passed down to the model 3. Gonna be the same thing that happens this time around.

My theory is that was one of the possible rear tail light designs they considered but dropped for production. Car companies often do these half and half cars as prototypes to help weigh up which style to go for. ​@heyJohnEe

something like nothing ..... Tesla should consider using a battery that is up to date. Those NMC batteries - you are wondering all the time how long will they live...... The Chinese are already using LFMP/LFP (hogh power) en masse ... this is the direction Tesla should be working..... not thinking about lights and toys
